It will have been a GTA V6 (thats what the red car in the top pics are), there are only a tiny handful of A310s and all racers IIRC.
The GTA was heavy, and has c210bhp. Big leather armchairs and a bit of a dog. Would not keep up with a std scooby.
The GTA V6 was replaced by the A610, described by most pundits at the time at 'the french 911'. as stated above, 250bhp and lighter than the GTA. Straight line it would pip a scooby.

You can get these pretty cheap now as well...but from memory they have a really horrible plastic interior that is even worse than the Scoobs 
As they are French and have a Renault badge a guess they aren't very reliable either.
