After reading through the results again, I stand corrected. As I said, I didnt get to see all the runs, and the ones I did see of the sierras were crap.
The Mark Shead sierra is pretty fast.

Ima,
You're a **** mate. The size of the injector makes NO DIFFERENCE to fuel economy. If you knew anything about mapping you'd know that. Have you never heard of injector on time?
My 8 greys might flow twice the fuel of an 8 green set up, but they are only injecting fuel for half the time of the green set-up! (approx. of course).
But I'm sure I've told you this before in the good old days on the RSOC BB. WHY YOU NO RISSEN!

Hmmm....just gone back and read this post from the beginning, what a load of tosh.
Who is this Alex Cabrio person? and since when has an XR3i cabrio (which I assume is what he's got) had a motorsport heritage????
Unfortunately it's people like him that give all owners of fast marques a bad name.
Appologies to the Scooby boys, not all Cossie owners are *****, honest!
It is a pointless to compare Scoobys to Cossies, they were designed for different jobs, the Cossie is basically a derivitive of a track car. The Scooby was designed for rallying.
Apart from my Cos, I own a Jap WRX/STi. I enjoy driving both cars, I would never dream of trying to beat my Cossie in a straight line with the Scoob, but the Scoob will leave the Cos for dead round the twisty lanes.
Horses for courses.

Derk....i know nothing about mapping..but i do know that the 8 green setup is the way forward....LOL.
I actually agree with Derk on this...who is the Cabrio geezer?......After watching the video...should people like that be in jail?*
*Just a question about road racing..interested to know what some feel about it.....

Also Derek...why would you use 8 greys on a 500bhp engine?..Thats like me running 4 greys for a 300bhp conversion?...
They run 350bhp flat out greens so 8 is way way ample. You know that emmissions will be better with them aswell.
Not a dig...just curious?????Are they easier to map(greys)...

phil, why use an ugly fuggin lame *** pressure reg when you can use a std weber marelli one? if a single std weber reg can fuel an 8 inj 500hp setup i font think your car needs this "uprated" crap lol
alberick, on your next reply uncheck the email notification button then.

no way, once you checked the box you'll always get them.
The box is unchecked by default anyway
t'would be good if you'd start a new thread as the unkwown car (can now somebody finally tell me what car was driving *behind* the blue Impreza??, I still didn't get it) vs cruising Impreza vs NOS charged Nova thread cooled down, therefore no more of any interest to me....

oh right, i thought you could stop it
the car that was about to OVERTAKE the impreza was an xr3i cab with a 2.1zvh (zetec block and cvh turbo head) running FRST efi management

The std one doesnt run 8 injectors...2 do..(i assume!)...All i saying is that the FSE is cheaper than a std one..well for me anyway..plus i have peace of mind that extra fuel pressure is with me on boost..especially peaking at 2bar on greens...for 7000miles.......The std one wasnt meant to be adjusted.....If you do up one you get a rich mixture all over the rev range..........FSE is a decent adjusterble alternative....

phil, as per you assume wrong the 8 inj set up on tonys car has one weber marelli pressure reg, i distinctly remember him saying "why the **** do you need that if i dont ffs"
and if weber's werent meant to be adjusted why would they have an adjuster on them under the cap on the top you spak? LOL mine was adjusted from its factory setting when it was checked over by tony after i installed it and sent the FSE north

Ok.....but that is a RS500 regulator..pretty damn sure that is different to a std one(But if not who cares?Always assumed a twin rail would require 2 pumps and 2 regs...i learnt something today that only one reg is needed.).Yes there is an adjuster under there but like a said...it increases fuel pressure across the range as opposed to on boost only.....So really that adjuster was only meant to tweek it up if the pressure dropped lower than pre set..
Of course you dont need one....it is imho safer than a std one when runnin on the edge of greens like i do...Did Tony also say you didnt need a back seat..cause you aint got no mates either?...LOL

A car with proper sized injectors, and fuel pump etc, which has a programmable management system should have no need whatsoever for a FSE type press regulator, as the fuelling will be mapped to suit, regardless of pressure. The only reason a std pressure regulator should/would need be uprated is that if it simply cannot flow enough fuel for the horsepower, resulting in varying fuel pressure, or restricting the flow of fuel also causing it to heat up.
As for road racing...on the right road, straights preferably, I do enjoy, but as for the ***** in the video, driving like that is ridiculous and very dangerous with all that traffic about. The attitude and screaming from the passenger/driver just lets us know of the actual mental age of the occupants. Or perhaps they were once car thieves, that the government has rehabilitated through one of their brilliant programs. NOT
Grow up, and learn to drive with respect to the other motorists around you.

True.....but i run my dark green inectors close to the edge of there flow rate..so i do feel the need for upped pressure to be safe.
Matt you of course dont need one as you are running the right amount of boost for the injectors.
My whole point is that FSE works if you want to squeeze more fuel out of the said injectors without meltdown..

Well there you have it Stevieturbo.
I just find that these Jap cars don't have the quality build that one expects from a car these days. Ok its quick, but put it up against a Ford and it makes the Scooby look like a matchbox car.
Even with a moddified Mondeo ST220 on my drive, i can still shock the local Scooby boys in the area. My Mondeo was timed at Trax 2002 with 0-60 time of 5.95 sec.
Now thats pretty quick for a Mondeo.

You want to play with my *****??? Theres plenty of room in my legacy estate, and I dont think I'll have a problem catching you.
As for build quality..you can check out mine to check how well its all put together, and see if there any squeeks and rattles.
Ive checked it before, but maybe I just havent given it a good enugh going over.
For some reason I dont like fords, yet I do own one, and would happily buy another???? Granadas are my preference though. They just dont make em like they used to.

Oh no, ''jap crap'' again......what is it with you guys? Are half of you born with this racist attitudes?
Err talking about build quality, apparently some of you guys never got a glimpse of the automotive sector...and who is leading in quality..ever heard the name ''Toyota''
