Ian,
If I'm not too late, I'd like to order 325mm kit grooved only, with red calipers, mintex pads and hoses. I make that worth 625+50+10=685.
If thats ok, and I assume theyll fit a 93WRX wearing 17in OZ Superleggaras, I'll mail a cheque to you straight away.
Thanks
Andy Stevens

They are now on!
This is a tip for the 308 kits, you can get the top caliper bolt on without removing the lower strut bolt (mine wouldn't shift). Do not put the disk on first, firstly put the caliper on with the top bolt. Instead of pushing the bolt through the bracket, spacer then hub - you reverse this and push the bolt through the hub, spacer then bracket. Then put the nut on so that it just grabs the bolt. Now rotate the caliper 180 degrees around the bolt and put the disk on the hub - you can just about manage to slide it into the caliper and over the wheel studs. Then spin the caliper back down and attach the lower bolt.
Another tip. Maybe it was just my car, but with the disk and caliper secure, the disk fouled the caliper . I needed to find some washers to put between the caliper and bracket to get it to line up correctly - make sure the washers are identical so that the caliper is spaced from the bracket equidistant along each bolt.
Oh and another thing, with my kit there wern't any 'R' clips provided to secure the pad retaining pins, so if you want to get the job done in one go then best pop out and get 4 of those - don't forget the washers either.
Pics to follow tomorrow

Ian ,
Do you know when i will get my kit , i ordered the 308mm discs . Are you making the 308 kits now ?
I've taken the end of the week of work so i can fit them , any chance they will be made by then .
thanks

Here are the 308 kit pics!
Disk and caliper after 1 mile of use - passivate gone already.
Side of caliper showing pins, clips, pads and hole for 'R' clip - best to grease the pins.
View from top. Note the washer between caliper and bracket.
Wheel shot, yep the car was on the jack - now where's that valve cap?
Hope this helps

just got my new disks and pads (keeping the old calipers). There were no instructions inside, so does anyone have any I could have? I can probably make it up as I go along, but would be nice to know torque wrench settings at least!
luvverrly bit of kit!

While this thread is still alive will ask a question.
Had the kit fitted on thursday and all seems fine. Taking things easy for the first 200 miles or so. However, I was turning at very low speed into a parking space yesterday when I heard this 'knock...knock...knock' sound from the front right wheel - in rhythm with the tyre rotation. Thought it might be the caliper or something hitting the alloy, but there is loads of clearance. I could only reproduce it once more, and only at full lock to the left. Any ideas what it could be? Haven't heard any other noises apart from the odd clunk which I'm pretty sure is a braided hose line knocking against something.
Thanks,
Hugh

I would like to take this to the top as I had the same sound last night whilst crawling on the M4.
I too am bedding in 335mm Godspeed discs & pads ( I also have braided lines), but it is only after about 250 miles that I noticed this. It wasn't evident all the time but the brakes were probably fairly warm from start / stopping.
I also have the terrible screeching when <10mph when warm and need some advice on how to remedy this - on a search someone mentioned copper grease - is this an easy job?
Apart from these issues, from first impressions the brakes are extremely powerful and progressive, especially compered the shocking EBC green set up before.
Cheers

i've fitted the 308mm kit with mintex pads and i'm also getting a horrible screeching noise at low speed when the discs get warm ,i'm still bedding them in at the moment only done 180 miles .
Ian any tips on how to get rid of the noise ?
I put loads of copperslip behind the pads and i fitted the discs right way .
Other then the screech the brakes are a vast improvment.

Some good points made there.
If there were a bit of give in the pads/calipers, then they would move around a bit as the grooves in the disk hit em in a certain way. Doesn't sound anything major, just annoying.
As for the screech, I am also getting that - think this can be cured by using the brakes a bit more vigorously, but obviously not until the bedding in process has finished. We'll see if it is still there after that. I have heard that the mintex pads do squeal however.

has everyone been successful with the Caliper splitting and re-bolting back together with spacers? Looks a bit of a scary prospect to me (not the work, but the finished product)! The spacers look a bit slight!

i see some of you have the standard 16" wheels and have the godspeed brakes what are the biggest brakes you can use i presume it is the 308mm set i have the 4 pot standard brake set up and am going to be tracking the car so the best possible obviously price wise

X sooby,
you'll have to go woth either uprated standard size, or the 308mm with a different caliper, the subaru one can't be moved that little, If I were you, i'd go with uprated standard, you might have issues when you track it though, but then, on 16's, there'll be other problems anyway!

i have the 16"s fitted with slicks that is why i will be using them in preferance to the 18"s that i have on the car for the road thanks for the reply but do you know what callipers would fit under the wheels
and also what pads are the best for track

I got mine last Monday after quite alot of pestering. I thought I was pretty much the last one! Just have to try to catch him on the phone or get him to respond here. I'm hoping he might be able to answer some of the questions above as well.

Ian was talking about going to Gran Canaria to watch some race?? I had the impression that his departure was imminent and from memory he is due back on dec 4th ie next weds.
I hope my caliper bolts have arrived today as I want to get on with it! Noone replied to my question about having to split their calipers to put the spacers in. Anyone know if that is unique for the P1 kit, or is it for every kit??

Oh. That would explain the silence then. I thought his email server had become selective or maybe he'd just put the words delivery and forecast in his swear filter. Hope I dont have to stop anytime soon!
Whats the general opinion of them then? Is anyone regretting the purchase? Sounds like theres been a few problems, but if they can be ironed out it sounds like stopping power has been increased.

I got the 308mm kit so no caliper splitting was required, therefore cannot comment.
Kit seems good so far. Have done probably about 200 miles so will be pushing the brakes a bit further over the next few days. I am concerned about a knocking noise from the n/s/f brakes when turning hard to the left at slow speeds (grooved disc) - I think this is caliper rattle, but would be nice to know a cure. I also get alot of brake squel at low speeds. Apart from that they seem excellent.
