Enrole @ College in night school on a touch typing course or computer literacy type courses etc, You get loads of Women on them and they usually have a bit about them.
You may even learn something whilst your there.

Don't have time for college courses, work in London and have anything upto 2 hour commute each way plus working in IT the last thing I want is a computer literacy course lol
Probably why I don't get down the pub enough due to getting home at 9pm every other week and the week inbetween I am too busy catching up with all the stuff I couldn't get done during my late shift week!
Looking forward to my friday night out, gonna be funny if nothing else

Lol, knew you would find this post eventually!
Don't know what u mean, never touch a drop of the stuff
We will certainly have fun m8, thats guaranteed, will have to make the most of my night out before hand tho cos once you and the boys are about I got no chance of pulling
And no I am not going to race u and the others with cocktails, followed by several large spirits, followed by 8 pint of Kronenburg! I learnt my lesson last time , we will only have 7 pints this time
And yes u can have a spare set of keys to the flat as I couldnt let u and the boys sleep in the car park for a 2nd time! Top night!

Er, try a dating agency. Yeah, sad as a sad thing, but several people I know have tried them, found the whole experience fine.
If you're working in London then commuting, you've got sod-all time to spend trying to meet people and failing - spend a few quid, look through a decent agency's books, and you're away. Saves all the aggro of finding a person you quite fancy, having a couple of dates, then realising that you're polar opposites.
This is all secondhand - I haven't used agencies myself, don't know who's good or bad.

If you're going to get tanked up, remember the adage:
'Go ugly early'
The logic of this is:
Bloke arrives at Pub/Bar/Club/Party, eyes up all the gorgeous totty, but needs a few bevvies inside before he can make a move. At this time his standards are still impossibly high.
A while later, after a few bevvies, our man's now more relaxed but still choosy. Trouble is, he's been too busy getting relaxed to notice that all the really gorgeous looking birds have already pulled/been pulled.
So, while waiting for a gorgeous bird to appear, a few more beers get consumed. Now our man has his beer goggles well and truly in place, and has failed to notice that the remaining decent looking women (let's call them the 'midrange') have also now pulled/been pulled.
Result? He gets completely hammered, pulls the ugliest dog in the place, catches something nasty and is the butt of jokes for weeks to come.
So, if he'd 'gone ugly early', he likely could have pulled a nice little midrange number.

Don't think I could handle using a dating agency, need to try the pub thing first without getting drunk and see what happens.
I know I shouldn't slate something I haven't tried but I can't imagine I would find anyone on the books that would suit me, need to see them in the flesh and talk to them instead of a profile and some dodgy picture. I know thats a poor attitude, I don't know perhaps its all the bad stigma that goes with it. Will see how I get on in the pub first. Just need to resist the temptation of one pint after another and look at the ladies instead of the lager
U r definately right about the working in London bit and not having much time to go out tho It doesn't help either when all your mates are married/in long term relationships cos then I have no one to go out on the pull with when I do get to go out. Always end up having a great laugh but I never do any chatting up. Thats my fault tho really for being a chicken where women are concerned

I know, I'd be dead apprehensive.
As I say though, seems to have worked for people I know. Reason is that all concerned know the score. There are proably a lot of old mooses who just play the dating game ad infinitum, others may be just trying to find a mug to drag up the aisle, but there a probably a load of women in exactly the same situation as you right now.
When I look for a new job, I go to a recruitment agency. No shame in that. Same thing really with dating agencies.
Though I'm sure I'd try the beer/chatup technique first!

Try "I'm a gynacologist and I can paper your hallway thru your letter box"
Trust me it works
Ru (I'm married now and it was a long time ago, honest)

Lmao @ Roo, I like that, another one to add to the above
Bros will hold back on that suggestion until things get bad
NBW, more sound advice, this is why I am definately holding back on the beers and going for an early move Luckily when my beer goggles are so firmly in place and nothing but the worst left I can't even stand up so I always escape doing something regrettable

Oi Bravo?
You have a window of opportunity appearing!!
When we go out, you are on earlies, and subsequently get on-the-lash, at leats an hour, if not 2 before us.
This will give you the opportunity to try your best lines (and get your face slapped about) before we get there and embarass you!!!
hahah might have to finish work early myself and hide in the corner somewhere!!! lol.
Try this one "You aren't the ugliest girl in here, but you dont half look like her!!!"
;-) BB

Nothing wrong with a corsa as long its not some spotty 18 year old kid driving it like a formula 1 car! Plenty of those round my way unfortunately.
So when u planning on getting a scoob? And you can mingle as much as you want, guarantee you will be at a scooby meet before you know it!

Oh i got bog standard looking my 98 scoob in blue and full decat exhaust. Thats all I done to it so far. Plus motorbike with exhaust upgrade. Resisting temptation at the moment to spend any more cash on mods for a while altho don't know how long I can last out

OK, sensible advice this time - what 'other' interests do you have? The reason I'm asking is that sports, gym, evening classes etc. can be a good way to meet people, and if you share a common interest, it makes striking up a conversation that little bit easier and less threatening.
DON'T take up some new activity JUST to meet women though, they'll see straight through you.....
One other thing, as others have said, what's wrong with a dating agency? You're not the only one in this situation, so why not give it a go?

LOL put it up on this thread then
I'm 29
NBW yeah thing is I don't get time for hobbies that arnt laddish,I spend what little time I get at weekends with mates fishing and relaxing with a few beers round a lake in the countryside getting some peace and quiet.
The gym doesnt work for me, havent got the concentration and will to go regularly, tried it and failed as I did with martial arts and boxing
Thing is I have a young son so weekends are also spent with him. With everything put together its why I am in the boat I am in. I know I shouldnt dismiss dating agencies but I am for now.
