Just because I'd love to have a 22B over other cars of the same value doesn't mean I am wanting it because I think it would look good or anything else.. the fact that nobody outside of the Scooby world knows about it is even more appealing.. some of us don't need a car as a status symbol.

Yeah okay so I'm mad about Scooby's at the moment and have been for a number of years... but that might change should I buy a 22b (not that I could afford one) or drive something better..

I don't see how me having this view means I am saying a Scoob is the best car and all the rest of it?

Each to their own opinion and all that but this is Scoobynet after all... so you are going to get rather a few biased views..
I don't think the Scoob is king but that doesn't change the fact that I might choose one over a BMW.

Whilst I'm not this boards most frequent poster, I do visit here often, and personally I'm getting pretty peed off with a lot of this crap - including these rants about how "you lot" (wtf?) have all got your heads up your *****. They all seem to be either thinly disguised ways of saying my car is still better than yours, or just an excuse to start a flame war and get more mindless arguing going. Probably 99% of the people shouting abuse and threatening each other are the same people you end up chatting to at gas stations - it's just easier to stir up some **** when you're just phosphor on a screen I guess.

Please, quit the ranting (yeah, I'll take my own advice )and the generalising bull****.

I agree, this "Impreza vs ?" and "I hate ? Drivers" Is getting out of hand, it seems like every 2nd thread is turning into one of these topics.

Does it really matter what your car can beat? The fact is, people choose the car for their reasons and their reasons only. So why the constant need to justify buying one every time one of these threads come along? Although i have noticed that Impreza owners seem to be more defensive of their car and easier to wind up than most other performance car owners

I drove a saxo and didn't think it was the fastest thing in the world and I now drive a scoob and don't think thats the fastest thing in the world. The problem (for the scooby) is that where the Saxo could match a lot of the 2.5V6 (normalish cars) rep mobiles, etc for acceleration the scooby is faster than a lot of the run of the mill cars out there. I have a 20 mile drive home in 5 mins time and I'll pass 100s of cars. Based on previous experience I'll bet I don't see more than 2 or 3 that are faster 0-100mph than the scooby. From such a survey the scooby would be faster than about 98% of the stuff you see on the road. Why?? because unlike nearly everyone that posts on this board most people buy a car for getting from a-b or cause the it came in a nice colour or because it had 8 cup holders.

For example, my mate doesn't understand my performance car fetish at all, he bought a VW passat 1.8T on a hangover (salesmans dream) when he came to insure it he had to phone the garage and ask what model, etc he'd bought Some people just don't buy cars to be fast so the large percentage of cars on british roads aren't!

Its all about the numbers, in the scheme of things the scooby is a fast car but there are faster. Even a Porka 911 turbo, 360 Modena, etc driver can't sit and think I have the best/fastest/etc car in the world.

As for driving like a ***** I didn't and don't do that either. If I see a nice car and feel its safe to play I'll usually close in briefy to say, 'I'm hear' and then drop back and maintain a safe distance (but always match their acceleration, deceleration for a few mins) before (if no response) dropping back further and leaving them to it. I find this is an ideal way of safely making my intentions clear but with leaving the choice of playing to the other driver. I don't condone people that just park themselves on your bumper until you are forced to get rid of them.

apparently subaru have been reading this BBS for a number of years. It realises that a lot of people who come here want to buy there products. i have reliable information - but i can't divulge the source because this would be breaking their confidence etc etc.

but Subaru are going to install radar operated auto cruise - you know like Knight Rider. therefore you will not need to see the road ahead!!!

thus allowing all the tossers with their heads firmly wedged up their ***** the ability to get to work and back safely.

I may have a passion for a scooby but I don't force it on anyone else or am delusioned into thinking it is the one and only best car out there either..

I think I might be frequenting the 22B website there.. at least there is less people calling people to$$ers and W anchors there..
just people with similar out looks.. and opinions..

I thought we'd had a scoobynet poll recently and decided that the scooby was the fastest and best car on our roads, the RS Ford wasn't as good (Clarkson agreed ffs), Cossies had had their day, Evo's were cool but as we couldn't quite afford them they weren't eligible for consideration, Audi TT's were too artificial, Saxo's would always be lovingly remembered and not slagged off by new converted scoob owners, Novas are sh1te and always will be (as are Corsas), GTIRs are fast but spin a lot, Skylines are for 'more money than skill' gold bracelete brigade, Type R's could be great (almost), Supras come with chest wigs, Clio 172's are for people who think small dosen't matter, M3's are for flighty people, Elises are for overtaking on straights?

Let me know if I've missed anything, I think I've captured most stereotypes

exactly true the only way some scooby owners can respond in a debate is to start making remarks about peoples families etc makng them sadder than their cars. Scoobies are average performance cars nothing more nothing less they are not in a league above anything they are just another average car in what ever shape they come in. LOL at the owners who don't think they carry a boy racer image.

As of yet I haven't tried Viagra I have no need as is quite obvious I must have a massive chopper having a car with such performance you know what they say. A mans car is an extension of his lunch box. My point being mines a goer and yours has lots of funny spoilers and is pretty mediocre in the grunt stakes.
