Hi people, I know i'm not sticking to the rules but had to see how you managed the 59....

In the polyphony 001 now down to 59:060 and only just started tweaking it.... reckon there is another second and a half left yet....

 

How the heck do you get a F1 car ???

 

Many hours of boring endurance races

 

ive only got the Mx5 endurance race to do!

 

Make sure you turn the music off for endurance races - 2hrs+ really starts to grind

Other than that - make sure you've got more horsepower (no go in the MX5 race...), and don't worry about hard tyres - If you've enough power, you can afford to stop every 3-4 laps

 

I have managed to get 2 F1 cars so far polphony 001 and 002, there is a bit of a cheat you can do...

Build up enough of a lead in the championship races, there are a few professional ones that you can win the F1 car in, then save before the last race provided you have more than a ten point lead you can quit the last race, see what car you get out of the four spinning round if there is an F1 there and you don't get it...

turn off the ps2 reload it and do it again until you get to see each of the cars and which one you want...

but why don't you do the time trial as all of you will have the same car and then the chalange is more real...

best emulator i have found for the ps1 is bleem for the dreamcast plays gt2 much better than the ps1

 

true S.A.M. but you get a car and show what you can do with it
and also you can't make a mistake to go of the track

but this is not an argument

i'll have to get the PS2 again and get somewhere closer to your times...
