To be honest my main flaw with programing is i cant do the maths! never did A level so the jump is massive once ive done maths programming will get easy!
at college i loved it! my C project was 22k charaters and 13pages! worked a treat now there 20programs that take weeks

They did teach us good stuff at uni on a comp sci degree - Leeds Uni. Two courses of professional development (or "how to get managers to do what you want them to do"), management of large IT systems ("common sense for beginners"), ...

Personally, my degree course was 95% tosh. Most useful bit was writing a VB front end onto an Oracle DB.
My CompSci course was great. Well, the bits I turned up to.
