Just got back after 13.5 hours and 400-odd miles of reccy (and CharlieWhisky still has to get home ).
It is looking very good - and perhaps the most important thing is that there are sufficient Shell Optimax garages to complete the whole route (unless you drive like Mellow that is ). Wales seems to have sussed out the need for the volatile nectar!!!
Tha camp site folks were pleased to see us coming back again - but that could be something to do with their bar takings quadrupling last year
Not long to go

Yep, just got in myself, absolutely knackered despite only have driven from here to Sutton Coldfield & back.
You will be glad to know it is nowhere near as long as WCT3 but still enough to be fun with a wide variety of different types of road.
We still have a couple of details to sort about the end of Day2 but this should not be a problem in the next week or so.
We currently have the top field to ourselves
I must get myself one of these handheld machines
'chelle, you are right, it is very difficult to type whislt being thrown around in a Scooby

'chelle: You can fill up with Esso at the start and there is that Texaco place we used last year a few miles north of the campsite
Should be no prob!
I will advise on fuel stops before the day, depending on what people use

I thought I'd leave that one for you
I don't think you where there on WCT3 when we did the Saturday/Sunday morning fuel runs. It's not a bad little run and the Texaco garage has a wee cafe, very useful!

Er, Food & Drink - only What you plan to eat & drink in the car + lots of beer for before/after the bar shuts!
The pubs, campsite, service stations etc. will have all the other food & drink you need
