Was a great day and we certainly enjoyed ourselves The sight of twenty plus cars going up Chipping Sodbury high street must have been greath!!! Apparently that's all the locals talked about all day Bignose (Portcullis Landlord saw us and commented last night)

Well done to Snowcrash (Simon) for taking the time and effort to get this pre-meet meet sorted out

Also a special thanks to SteveB for keeping the trip from Cross hands to the track at a very sensible speed

i'll proberbly be able to grab some stills from the video footage of the car on track, i think turbo has a niceone with a flameout on his video... unfortunatly my camera wasn't recording sound in the afternoon - so i've got footage of your car but no audio. Turbo had the better footage imho anyway and he has audio

yeah, i'll proberbly dump the footage (or edited highlights/stills) onto www.colute.net at some stage...

Great day good to see everybody and meet the D&C crew.

Full marks to Snowcrash for organising everthing.

Enjoyed the drive to the Crosshands although we almost missed one of the turnings as we were overtaking an artic!
Better still was following the 22B to Castle Combe. Gee they look wide on the road - well impressed.

I was shamed into cleaning the car yesterday after all the comments about how dirty it was looking. Its now looking its best again - wont happen again promise .

Found a new attraction for next years rallyday. Driving back from Devon yesterday an old Renault 25 tried to run away from the P1 up a particularly steep hill on the N Devon Link road. Got a full "red arrows" streak of smoke impression half way up the hill when his head gaskets must have cooked themselves - hope he had breakdown cover.

I got big bear on video banging and popping as he went past me with ALK engaged, when I stopped to film the convoy....Trouble is I don't know how to get it on my PC

I am collecting all the footage that I can, and will copy it onto CDr if anyones interested

I uploaded my footage to the PC yesterday, but I have a big post-production job with the audio because I have four separate digital audio streams captured to .WAV files via my digital audio rig, plus the footage as .AVI with (probably) two of those streams, and I have to edit the footage into a continuous stream under Premiere (because of file size limits on the PC) and then post-sync the missing audio.

I can do all this, and additionally I will be playing with the dynamics and other qualities of the audio (because some of it is ****e). But the biggest problem is that my driving was ****e, and the subject matter ain't great. Anyway, when I have something to show (probably later today) I'll put it on my web site and post the URL(s) here.

 

babber - what format is your footage?? (as im converting turbo's vhs footage to pc/digital tape..)

ok softwizz - i'll download the footage and try and import it onto my video editing mac

dunno yet m8 - depends on what i finally decide to encode it with... quicktime is the easiest - but i know most peeps want avi (divx) so they can play it back... if its small then i might leave it on the web for download...

see what happens after editing it... i now have mine,babbers and turbo's video footage for scouring through... anyone else have footage i can add to make this better??? convoy/mcrae footage would be handy
