lol - the "large" vid plays fine on my work pc (P4 1.7ghz) but is jumpy on my home (P2 350 ) - thats why im doing a divx version as then my home PC should be able to handle it better

It ran funny on my car laptop Toshiba 4200 (not sure of processor) and haven't tried it on the Athlon 1800.

The VHS copies I do with be Stereo sound and recorded on a four head machine, so quality should be good

Watched the vid tonight and did laugh a lot - Top vid mate - excellent - bit pricey though !!

All I can say is the service i've always had has been excellent. sorry to hear your misfortune. What have they offered - new wheels and calipers I hope ? Don't settle for anything less mate.

The Service is Great but after the troubles every one else is having with them and now this, I must admit im wondering if I should get the car serviced some where else.!!!

The Acid that I was talking about I think is the wonderwheels like stuff that they use.. I dont know!! I just use a rag and water or a jet wash and it some off allright then.. All I do know that the marks dont come off now and hope they will put it right ASAP!

I did not notice the wheels until I got home, and that was after 6.00 so will pop down tomorrow morning to see them all.!!!

 

Make sure you speak to Phil and not Kelly (on the main desk) tell him your not happy and you need this resolved. They normally let the numpty there clean the cars, and it does look like your wheel are fcuked now. They weren't like that on Sunday, as I was admiring them myself. Tell them that you have discussed this on Scoobynet and WE are awaiting the response!!! If Phil can't resolve it then ask for Janey or Nick (the owner) Remember Simpson, isn't that far away from us Jason has already been there to get a few bits and bobs as they are cheaper then Tileys

I have had good service from Tileys over the last two years with the occasional hiccup. The hiccups are normally IM warranty claims. They are in the middle of the customers and IM, and if IM won't accept the claim, then Tileys will have to bill you. I just get IMs number and phone them up and kick off

The dramas with my Cam belt, wasn't down to human error, but a shagged Cam belt tensioner that should have been replaced, but once again IM won't pay for it until it fails They now have to pay for a tensioner, another new Cam belt, plus an couple of hours labour

Right they have admited that there is a problem with the wheels so they are going to get them redone... It will take a week or so and they will have to get the stickers for them as well.. The calipers they are not too fussed about.. But Im going to see them again tonight to see what can be done about them, and to drop my wheels down to them and get them to swap my old one with the new ones as they get them redone.

They say the calipers will return to their normal color when they get hot.!! .. But I will see if they can just scrub them when they take the wheels off tonight, to see if they look better failing that I will paint them.. So if anyone has any high temp paint I can nick pass it on...

 

Is that where you were going this morning Rob, when I saw (oops sorry heard you coming). I just heard the roar and decided to go into the road, thought it might be you.

I don't think the brakes will be ok after they get hot. They all seem to go a funny colour evetually. I would opt for painting them mate, if I was you.

No I did not have to kick off.. A bit if a dissapointment.. Whent down there expeting to kickoff and Phil was very good.. They tried to sort it.. Could not.. So decided to Take the wheels This afternoon and put my 16" back on as they sort out the P1's..
Guess some guy is going to get an *** kicking as he was well pissed off with them..!!!

Will look at painting the brakes my self..

I have to say I haven't had the problems you lot have had with T***ys but it is worrying when they even have difficulty cleaning the wheels without wrecking them.

Mind you I don't know how much better other main dealers are - Keith Price in Abergavenny fitted a front windscreen wiper to the rear of my dad's car at the last service so when it was switched on it just hit the spoiler and jammed the motor!

I've also heard bad reports about the dealer in Cheltenham and Listers in Worcester, but nothing about Simpsons yet so maybe worth a try.

MAXSTI - if you are going to do the callipers, paint them red!

 

I think that all the dealers are the same, no matter what car you drive!! I used to use Ford at Chipping Sodbury for a few years and they are ******* terrible!! They managed to blow Jasons Saphire Cossie up on a test run after rebuilding the Engine

I also thought that Tileys were good when I first bought my MY00 from them, and they did look after me really.

yeah, well we all know what some people are like to work for - and this could all be down to current selection of crappy mechanics, hopefully they will sort themselves out soon, and lower their prices, otherwise i aint getting the extended warrenty..

and will proberbly go elsewhere for servicing etc...

Drop me a mail mate as i've got a few pots of caliper paint you can borrow to paint yours. Arrange to drop round and pick it up. I do have some red stuff that I once treid mine in (sad as you like!) but quicklt painted them black afterwards.
