I haven't heard anyone defending Netanyahu or the Israeli response! Clearly it's fooked up! The US yesterday also gave warnings to Israel that the response should only target Hamas.

Pretty much everyone thinks both the Hamas attacks and Israeli response are terrible, except for you who seems to think the Hamas attacks are somehow justifiable!

I actually cannot understand why HAMAS did this? - why invade Israel, possibly the most heavily defended state in the world, with one of the most powerful military/army, and expect to get away with it....
What the hell did they expect? a light ticking off? - they were never going to 'win' and they just ensured that Israels repsonse was swift and total... it could end up with either the total occupation or even the total eradication of the Gaza Strip.
