Fineeds crossed mate. I guess only thing you can do when you email them is put a disclaimer at the bottom that you do not consent too information being shared. I don't see why they would do it as they have no reason to tell the dvla about your tax class

i’m getting the feeling that the above company can not get my nox readings but i maybe wrong , so from the point of is it any good for tfl ulez exception i don’t know yet , they have also stated they don’t do refunds , i will post on here when i know more , he is getting back to me tomorrow , the dvla will not be made aware of the outcome either way by them or by me 👍

well an update , so i have the emissions print off including nox , i’ve sent it to tfl , the big question now will they accept it is it in the right format ? i will update when i know , the car was a late 05 plate subaru forester sti 2.5 litre , it passes all the requirements and is euro 4 , tfl is next hurdle , the paperwork turn around was about 24 hours , but as above no good if tfl say … computer says no ☹️

If the car meets all the requirements to be euro 4 then there's no reason it shouldn't be accepted. Petrol cars need to be if euro 4 status or levels resulting in euro 4 while diesels need too meet euro 6 standards.

Tfl took approximately 5 days too come back to me on my previous message to them so hopefully be soon for you mate.

All

I’ve gone down the eurocert route and pleased to say that it’s been successful. TFL has accepted the certificate from them and car is now registered as ULEZ compliant.

Thanks Bean!

I had set up an auto pay account with them and then followed the links through to upload the documents. They came back to me in a day.

cheers for that , a good call on the website for the emissions info , i tried before using the tfl portal but it was not working , but when it did it was surprising how quick it was , so for any others thinking of doing this it does work , eurocert took about 24 hours to sort their end tfl about the same , the likely route of tfl will be expand the ulez , let’s hope they still accept euro 4 standard 👍😁

Seems like all the imports that dont have their details on the v5 are just being assumed they aint euro 4 compliant and based most aint 2006 or newer they just say yep aint no good till proven different. Least we know it works pretty well and quickly mate. Prob best £160 spent aye 😆 🤣😂

I need to get this done for both of mine. I think that admin should perhaps make this thread a sticky as it really is very helpful...
Great work @Bean1984 and thanks for sharing your experience!

No worries mate. Pleased its paying off for everyone so far. Thinking wider afield there's other cities that do similar theft from the motorists so if you was to drive to Birmingham for example I support you'd be getting a charge but least this coc form will help you give the council the two finger salute

So guys, I might be getting my wires crossed here but you're updating TFL right. That means if you went to another city it might not be compliant. Birmingham is the strictest at the moment so not specifically talking about them.

How would you update DVLA or is that done automatically.

you create a tfl account , on that look for the ulez part , there is a portal to send your v5 and the emissions report 👍

I couldn't see anything like that on the Brum version. You would have thought they would use the DVLA as the single source. I can't imagine a classic being compliant any way lol. Was just wondering how they did it.

They do mate but most imports don't have the emissions recorded with the dvla so as far as they are concerned the cars are non compliant but in actual fact bugeyes are compliant so you email the Coc report too the tfl and then they adjust it accordingly so it shows up that you won't get charged for the emissions level

at least if you have the emissions report if you do get a fine you can say fairly quickly you are exempt 👍

the birmingham ulez seems to work the same as informing tfl , the link is currently down , you can do a check that is for all 5 or so ulez sites uk wide , the birmingham one still accepts euro 4 , you just need to apply or put a complaint in , basically london accepts my car you need to too 👍😁

Birmingham one accepts euro 4 as somehow my 2003 4.4 v8 range rover is accepted so I guess given that engine is euro 4 compliant means that if your going too use the car inside a clean air zone, might be worth while emailing them with your emissions report first off if your a frequent flyer into Birmingham
