All done. Picked up the Scoobie from Carnetix tonight. Brand pink Exedy racing clutch stage 1. The clutch was gone on and bearing broken as well.

They also recommended to front mound the inter cooler with that power as well. Can anyone recommend any good ones please. And an electric boost controller.

What power are you running. The STI newage top mount are good for about 400bhp. If you want a front mount the toyo sport, japspeed are good for the money, they have been used on high bhp builds too. The complaint I have seen about them was fitting wasn't that good. The HDI ones etc are meant to be much better and are also good value. There are others even more expensive but personally don't think its worth it when you can get some of the ones mentioned for a lot cheaper. Happy to change my mind on that though as these are my opinions.

I don't know how much I can stress this but keep away from the EBC. Do not do it. Get your mapper to sort it out and mapped properly to the boost levels you want if you want more get it mapped for more. You should probably get it mapped for the front mount anyway.

good to hear it’s all sorted , hopefully not too much £££ but main thing it’s back in the road , possibly be a bit more gentle with the clutch 😂 , if it was me i would not go fmic if things are working ok as they are , happy motoring 👍👍

The car is mapped by MB development but it’s mafless map. Smokey starts and running high boost but car runs really well just drinking a lot of fuel probably get 10mpg out of it tops and that’s driving it normal. obd code is reading p0172. Googled yesterday and it says air and fuel is running too rich but I’m gesing that’s because it’s got the mafless map. Carnetix told me yesterday if I’m running that much power they would definitely recommend front mount intercooler to cool everything down properly and also get it remapped again with 3 maps to have eco, sport and race for example on switches rather than running is on high boost constantly. If anyone knows a good place that does maps like that please let me know as I am interested to get that done. Not sure about electric boost controllers as I never looked into them. Regarding the clutch change, in total it cost me £800 (ouch) wasn’t expecting that figure but had to be done.

Mate you shouldn't be getting that code even if you're mafless. Looks like the car is running rich and needs checking. Speak to matty

What BHP are you running.

Another thing i forgot to mention, the engine temp is always 88/89 once fully warmed up. We always thought this is correct due to the map it has and will never go to 90. The car does shake a tiny bit more than it should when warmed up like if you was sitting in an American muscle car if that makes sense? You can always see the gear stick wobble. Specially sitting at the traffic lights when it’s in neutral.

Quite a few different reasons mate so I'd suggest getting it checked properly

Your mounts could be on the way out so thats why you're seeing more play/vibrations that you shouldn't.

Hi, if you're anywhere near Leicester, (Wigston, actually) there's a knowledgeable Scooby man called Rich Doherty (don't think the 'Rich' is a reflection on his prices) he's done work on my Scooby, and knows them ...here's his website:

Just want to get this sorted because been using the scoobie like this for 2 years now and didn’t think there was an issue until the engine light came on. I always thought it’s the way it’s mapped that’s the reason it’s doing it. You can exhaust gasses and petrol fumes when you put the heating on for too long as well because the petrol is running to rich.
