It's amazing the difference it makes to cabin air flow and the air con system.

When I first got my wrx I thought the whole system was either knackered, or just useless. Had a word with the mechanic and he explained its just the cabin air filter blocked. Changed it that day it it was like a different car inside air wise, makes a big difference to quality of life inside the car for me.

I've lost the pic I took when I first got the car (itle be in the mods this week thread somewhere) but the one I took out was just black, so black you would of thought it was a black material used to make it. I also found a snickers wrapper & half an empty crisp packet in the fan drum underneath the filter, which solved the bad rattling noise coming from the unit where it was spinning and imbalanced.

Pretty shocking how bad a state some people let their cars get into.

Another filthy one exchanged for a clean one. Bit of a pain to get the glove box off but can't imagine how much a dealer would charge for this 5 minute job!

Doesn't mean you can't fit one, just slides in behind cover.
