Hi, Could someone please confirm how much clearance fitting these give you? I've seen some 6.5inch speakers that are about 4inches deep overall (including the magnet). Any idea if these would fit? Thanks

4inches? They're huge. You have less than 50mm clearance in the door. So you'd need to mount the speakers 50mm+ away from the door. But then you'd never get the door cards to fit. I have speakers with 69mm depth and I had to trim the inside of the door cards to fit. I don't believe you'd be able to fit anything bigger without cutting holes in the cards.

The bass face ones in the pictures have a mounting depth of 73mm and fit ok, for reference.

Without the 19mm brackets the magnet interfered with the glass. Don't know the clearance in the installed condition but I'd bet it's not much.

Thanks for the reply guys....I've taken the plunge and bought them. They are Rockford Fosgate T162S. I've just rechecked and think the mounting depth is 2.9 inches so 68mm ish? Hopefully will be able to get them in with a little bit of trimming as per Technopug.

I am assuming a little bit of a trim was required?

No worries, thanks!

Just mention these are available on ebay now as I no longer sell through Sn. If people search the pictures are the same.

Cheers.
