Recent results of my SC42 billet. It is not the latest version of the SC42+ but the standard billet SC42 turbo (with black casing). I had this upgraded with ceramic bearings, metal bearing cages and with an uprated 1.2bar actuator.

Made 456bhp Not bad from a 420bhp rated turbo. Car is an animal now.

Supporting mods:
Forged 2014 VA SCDB 2.5 Engine.
SC42 billet custom rebuild by Turbo Dynamics
JE forged pistons
Manley piston rods
ACL race bearings
New genuine 2.5 Subaru crankshaft
RCM head studs
RCM stopper head gaskets
RCM oil pump kit
RCM timing belt kit
TGV delete
Secondary air system delete
Exedy pink box clutch
AS Performance ultra-light flywheel
Genuine MAC 3 port boost solenoid
RCM 340 fuel pump
Uprated Perrin oil cooler setup
Forge turbo blanket
RCM 3 bolt GT spec stainless steel headers fully DEI wrapped.
Harvey Smith trick up-pipe to suit SC42 fully DEI wrapped
Invidia divorced 3" decat downpipe
Invidia full 3" Q300 stainless exhaust

Perrin silicone turbo inlet pipe
Tial Q 50mm BOV with 11 PSI spring
Injector Dynamics ID1050 injectors flow matched including wiring adaptors
Perrin ASM-FUL-300 fuel pressure regulator kit
NGK heat 7 plugs
K&N Typhoon 69-8007TWR induction kit
Fuelab fuel pressure gauge, fittings and fuel pipe to go with Perrin FPR.
Process west 4" FMIC setup, modified with Tial Q BOV port

Final fitment and mapping y Enginetuner. Mapped on EcuTek Racerom.

Sure there's more I've forgotten. Most parts purchased with future power increase in mind which is why a lot is over-specified for this power level. Engine will either get another rebuild to CDB 2.5 or 2.35 next.

Really impressive. Did you have to go MAFless? I have a hybrid VF48 with larger compressor wheel on a ball bearing which was limited by the MAF.
Thanks

Nope, still running MAF. Was prepared to go mafless but Martyn at Enginetuner said it's only needed at much higher levels and car will drive better with MAF. So long as you have a decent induction system the MAF isn't restrictive.

I went for a Mishimoto Cold Air Intake With Airbox Mishimoto Cold Air Intake With Airbox fits Subaru Impreza WRX/STI 2001–2007 748354015362 | eBay. I thought this was sufficient enough. I understand it is associated with the MAF not being able to measure any higher rate of air volume passing the sensor (i.e. it is on the limit of its measuring capacity).
