Is it though?

I feel that the RA-R is ‘peak’ Impreza. After that, Subaru lost their identity a bit with the hatch (no offence to owners) and then things became a bit heavy and more sensible with the saloon that followed. Plus the fact the hatch and later saloon were not in the WRC.

For me, the best Rally Reps are the RA-R and the Evo IX MR360 or GT (forget the X).

£65k for arguably the best factory Impreza ever made, with only 5k miles on the clock? Not that bad really.

Look at the prices of Sierra RS 500s

So your gonna spend 65k on a yellow subaru and not bother with a porsche, Aston Martin, masserati, merc, audi
Cmon, I like subaru owned them for the last 10 years but I really can't see how people are trying to justify this one, is the rar not the one with no sound deadening and wind up window's?

with a Porsche though, you really need to go aircooled and/orturbo..I drove a 997C4S last year and it was quick but not fast..There was also no theatre in the drive...I was quite disappointed.
the 22B is still the ultimate Subaru though imho.

Only Porsche I’d be interested in would be 993 or 1980s models. Boat has sailed with prices on those.

None of the rest of those do anything for me. Audi? You’re having a laugh aren’t you? Zero interest there.

My mate has a beautiful 993 C4S..great fun and loads of character...It's not fast by todays standards...in fact, a sporty hatchback will see it off in a straight line, but the handling is great and few other cars can match that aircooled drone.

A lot of the groups refer to cars from the EC.

Japanese cars have their own section - Annex 7

I would have another RA-R in a heart beat but could not justify spending £65k. If I had a tonne of money then maybe buy it as an investment and never drive it but to me that is frustrating as with an RA-R in the garage I would just want to drive the thing.

Great. If scoobs are not being broken they are becoming garage queens.
