Im assuming by definition you understand your own profession correct? So to push and pontificate a generic solution to a global issue which is others lives is very short sighted. For example if a individual has a behavioural issue deep rooted in a misconception that religion gives them the right to abuse others would be an ill advised answer correct? Or have I misunderstood your pastitent overtly religious preaching? Or is it just your religion that has unlocked the key to global harmony? It just seems odd that for somebody so enlightened and so well educated (by virtue of your degree) that your so lacking in understanding or openness to others plight?

I’m looking for examples, Hodgy. Post some transcript or monologue or dialogue and critique it, otherwise all I have is your gut.

Thanks for your response. I’ve read it a couple of times and with regret I’m struggling to comprehend it. I’m sure this is due to my own shortcoming so you have my apologies. Would you be good enough to break it down in to digestable chunks for me so that I may better understand your position?

You are correct, I did slightly rant. So to polarise. Do you have anything meaningful to bring to society other than a belief that has no factual existence? I hope my point is clearer? It just appears you believe that regurgitating script based on nothing but hearsay will save us all? Please correct me (and educate me) if I am wrong?

We could all do the same! “Mathew, chapter one, “Izzy wizzy let’s get busy”. I’ve met Mathew, he’s real. Alas he still has his puppets.

We have several ways to understand the Lord. The vast majority of historians, atheist or otherwise, accept that Jesus of Nazareth walked our planet, taught a radical message of love and was crucified. Many scholars, like Peterson, also see Him as an archetype - a picture of the very best human imaginable. Then you have Christians like me who accept the previous two positions and who also believe through faith that Jesus was and is the Son of God. Jesus existed historically, exists archetypically and exists through faith as Saviour for hundreds of millions of people across the globe. So, what is it that you do not believe? His historicity, His archetype or His divinity?

One can’t argue, coerce, debate or talk someone to faith. I simply hope to open people’s eyes and ears and hearts to the good news. It’s a gift from above that men are free to accept or reject.

The Parable of the Sower

That same day Jesus went out of the house and sat by the lake. Such large crowds gathered around him that he got into a boat and sat in it, while all the people stood on the shore. Then he told them many things in parables, saying: “A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants. 8 Still other seed fell on good soil, where it produced a crop—a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown. Whoever has ears, let them hear.”

There're not many times when celebs pass away, that I'm emotionally invested. But Rik Mayal, Paul Walker and George Michael shocked me for sure. Gutted.

I know I'll feel the same way when Stephen Fry leaves us...

George Michael entering heaven is between him and the Lord; you nor I know where that relationship stood before George’s passing. If Fry stays on the same path, he will not enter the Kingdom, but should he repent and confess he will one day meet the Lord.

In the meantime, I recommend this book by Sam Allberry:

Yabbadoo4, I actually reviewed the book I recommended and it was recorded. I tried to upload the mp3 here, but the file was too big. I noticed you have your email address listed on your profile page so I’ve taken the liberty of sending it to you. I’d be glad to hear your feedback.
