Serviced my first E -tron today.
Had to drain the coolant leakage reservoirs as part of the schedule.
WTF is that you ask? I asked the same. Well, the motor armature has a hollow shaft used for cooling with slip ring seals to keep coolant out of the motor/gearbox. The reservoir is there to catch any coolant that may weep into the motor casing.
A few ml is ok, but if its found to be full there's a leak . If the reservoir isn't emptied coolant contaminates the motor causing an earth fault and the vehicle to shut down the HV system (equivalent of a RCD tripping) rendering the car immobile. Rectification is to replace the motor. Kerching, turns out E-Trons are bricking quite a lot with this issue. Hope the owners have a good warranty.
Its the modern version of a head gasket failing. But this ain't no scabby old K-series

As polling day looms, remember 381 MPs that "we" voted to "represent" us passed a law in January forcing the zero emission vehicle (ZEV) mandate upon us.
https://www.theyworkforyou.com
This is the beginning of the blowback of MPs passing this daft law which is essentially dragging a horse into a lake and forcing it to drink by drowning it.
As an aside I stopped off in a rather nice dog friendly Hotel in Pamplona earlier this week; Dog friendly being the priority not the accessibility of usable charge points. Which they did have, but they were all out of order except for this one;
BTW, That's a Porsche destination charge point intended for Porsche owners.
Imagine owning a Porsche signed up with Porsche destination charging, then getting to your nice Hotel to charge your £80k Taycan overnight only to find a poxy MG hogging the only working charge point all night!! LMAO 🤣
Didn't find the MG owner to ask far he can drive a MG per day, but our old F07 BMW managed Bernay (France) to Pamplona (Spain) - 900km in a single day with 100km to spare so no need to "refuel/recharge" inbetween.

Porsche Destination charging points are supposed reduce the need to plan ahead via the app / map advising of charging at your destination hotel / golf club / Gucci outlet store / whatever. (hence the name "destination" charging. As well as the perk of it being free.

There's only two free-to-use destination chargers in Pamplona, one here and the other in the city somewhere, one in use by a MG. Obviously a non-issue at present as the chances of two EVs needing to charge overnight are slim, but as ZEV laws progressively kick in across europe and beyond this will change. Will be fun for the early adopters.

Charging is getting easier every month, the difference from this year to last is astonishing. My annual over 100mile trip this year was a doddle where last year I could only have a plan A and B this year I was so spoiled for choice I needn't have planned. And that's on my little car with only AC charging sticking to 22kw chargers, for cars with DC charging the choice is huge, Tesla has opened up their chargers for everyone now.
You'll be dead before you can't drive a Fossil car so why worry.

Jack you're in a very small pool of people who maybe can balance it all out , almost everyone else has been caught up in a fantasy that they are saving the world
