Anyone remember the 'first' sort of piggyback EPROM module, called I.C.O.N.? Looked a bit like an audio amp, with the heatsink fins. Came in garish anodised colours - cyan and magenta, IIRC.
Max Power fitted it on at least one of their giveaway competition projects, IIRC.

As I lived in Germany at the time I could get parts of the VW Dealer shelves for their G60 and Rallye Golfs and bring them back. Nice guys, the name Devine (?) rings a bell.
