360 Modena went past me on the A3 Saturday, sounded lovely.
Once drove a 355, courtesy of my lovely lady and a birthday present. To my eternal shame, I did what the instructor said and kept under 6000 revs, so I didn't get the full sound effects.
Prefer the noise from a DB7 Vantage or TVR.

actually trout you are a touch out.
the 355 has about 380bhp and a 0-100 of 11.8 according to book figures, it also has a pathetic torque figure and without question the most beautiful engine note in the world.
It also ranks as my most favourite car in the world ever and the only other car on my list of must haves one day apart from the 22B.
The 360 is the one to watch with 100 being reached in 9secs, .2 secs quicker than the 911 turbo which has more weight, but also much much more torque and traction!

The Ferrari is a better car all round, hence more expensive, hence why all the scooby owners are trying to say that their car is faster. The thing with a Ferrari is the speed at which it gets women into bed. Something a scooby will never be as good at!

Any one that dislikes the 355 and has never driven one, really should take a test drive and then decide.
Thruxton circuit used to do a 355 experience for reasonable money - that's where i got hooked.
I now have a road version and it is soooo addictive. It just begs to be bounced of the limiter every time i go out for a ragging.
The real problem with the 355 is the gear lever gate - i've lost count of the number of times i've screamed mine going from 2nd to 3rd. Not to mention the running costs which are just plain loopy (paid 3.5k recently for a service and cambelt change)
Not played with any scoobies...yet, sportsbikes are usually the only people out for pushing the top end speed.
As for 360 vs 355 comparison it depends so much on each individual engine - the power output can vary immensely.

I'd prefer a 355 to scoob.
Well my Mondeo is seriously quick - I raced a scoob the other day and he was trying, just left him for dead. Then I realised I had the handbrake on aswell.
I'm thinking of upgrading my 14" hubcaps to the bigger ones of an Si. Scoobies won't know what went past!
A ferrari red mondeo lx with Si wheels...

yes michelle, but it depends which women yo are trying to get into bed.
Personally I would not want to be sleeping with someone who is only there because of my ferrari, but this is not going to stop me from buying one. I will be buying one for selfish reasons and thats all.
speaking of ferraris,
isnt it about time harj's was delivered? anyone heard about that at all?
Carl,
the flat 12 fromt the 512 tr and I would argue that the older lamborghini V12s also have some merit, but the 355 has three distinctive noises from each attricuted to different parts of the rev range, when they come together at approaching 9000 rpm, it lets out a wail or a scream. It is that combination of noises which makes it so special, the best one being the bark/shout from the different cam timing that becomes audible above 6500rpm.

I possibly speak for most of the females on this board that a Ferrari certainly wouldn't get us into bed
You may not like it, but it's true.

Women will rarely admit (to themselves or others) that a Ferrari is a turn on, often on principle. Ferrari owners do get more (positive) attention from the laydees though.
A Dodge Viper is much more appealing looks wise to me

The only Ferrari that would do it for me is the F50.

David, I worder that on purpose so that people didnt think you were the arragnt ferrari owner on the board.
looks like my decision to go with subtlety was wrong!
michelle, the F50 is without doubt the ugliest ferrari ever, bar the daytona and possibly the F60. Had you said the F40 I could ahve understood, but as mentioned before, as an all round package nothing beats the 355, not even the 360!
