The problem you are always going to have here is that you are never going to change the opinions of these people.
Due to one bad experience with one bad officer or something that they have read in the papers.
No amount of arguing will get them to release that not all police are ***s. Or how hard most of us work, Or what we see and deal with on a daily basis.
( how many of them get assaulted, Threatened with dirty needles, Spat at by people with nasty disease's, Sworn at, Deal with dead bodies that have been left in flats for weeks/months , Telling people that their loved ones have been killed in car accidents. In the jobs they do? )

Its a pointless exercise trying to reason with these people. Some love us some hate us for whatever reasons.

The police forces are like every other employer in the world they have a few bad officers and they unfortunately tar the reputation of the rest of us.
But I think most forget that with a lack of funding and a lack of training mistakes are made. We are, contrary to popular belief still human and do make mistakes. This doesn't make us all corrupt and dishonest.

My own loathing of the police is CERTAINLY not based on isolated incidents. Were that the case, I'd not be as anti-cops as I am.

I've had FAR better service from Blunkett Bobbies than ANY police officer. Ever.

Being lied about.....twice.
Lack of attendance at a burglary, crime number given.
Persecution of motorists, not just myself.
My youngest being persecuted at 12 years old for taking a short cut across a school field.
My eldest being lied to about "having to give DNA", after being acuused of spitting at someone.
The whole speed camera thing.
Covering up for ane-another.

Coppers on TV blatantly winding folk up, then arresting them for public order offences.
