69,700 miles and the first time I've ever done my own discs and pads.
First disc took 3hrs to do as I spent forever cleaning but the rest took an hour each.
annoyingly 1 bolt forced me to buy a £20 breaker bar but I wish I had bought one sooner.

The drone and wobble when breaking and squeal is gone and even though I went for stock discs and pads they feel hugely better.

New wheels next week 😀

Default Accelerator cable

I can't figure out how my Accelerator cable got damaged before I got the car but it was unsightly.

That changed today 🙂

Not really noticed before... But why is there provision for two throttle cables? I mean, it's not as if it's likely to be running a brace of Weber DCOEs LOL!

Or am I being thick and missing something REALLY obvious?! (It wouldn't be the first time lol).

Waited forever but finally have my pff7's in silver on.🤗

I wasn't sure at first with the thickness of tyre but the road noise is greatly reduced and the ride feels softer.
Gone for the vorti + which is the Vorti R rebranded and as a bonus they have a lip to protect the alloy from curbing🙂

Only thing triggering my OCD now is that I wish I'd asked for the logo on the tyre to be inline with the prodrivd logo on the alloy, and the centre cap to be level too.
oh well.

Now to sell my gold wheels. £300 collected

It's bugged me for a while but with a Groupon voucher I got my aircon regassed for £30!

Took the car to ATS in Bletchley when quite quickly they said I had a leak! Such nice guys Said they wouldn't use the voucher and to bring it back when I had fixed it.

Bought an aircon o-ring kit off ebay for £7 and replaced several of the Aircon systems o rings.

Went back and it's all working!

If you look carefully you'll see the split o ring.

Blob eye rear lights next! Anyone confirm the part number?

looking great rob! I’ve got a aircon leak mate so I’m going to buy a o-ring kit now just to refresh the washers, no brainier for the sake of 7 quid 👍

£30 wow thats an amazing price Rob. I just got a mobile guy to come out and do mine.

Would have been £74 but as i wanted all 3 cars doing charged me £67 each car.

Thought that was good for mobile service. But £30 makes mine look a rip off lol

fter 6 months of waiting, I finally got my RA back. All nice a sparkly underneath.

Having had these seats for almost a year, it was time to fit them together with a feux suede retrim. I originally bought Recaro SPG but they were far too narrow. I had these SR5s retrimmed and they do look pretty cool. Not as comfy as OE and not as comfy as the Evo seats which are the same base but Trendline backrest. I use a Sabelt Taurus in my sim rig which I can easily spend a few hours in and IMO better quality than the SPGs. I'd love to fit a pair of them but getting in and out would be a pain.

I'm waiting for a centre console to come back from being flocked which will then be fitted with the gear stick surround. I Splashed out on the S204 centre console bits.

One minor issue was removing the OE steering wheel. The air bag squib, ring sensor thingy just sort of flew apart with the wheel and the ribbon cable unravelled. This ring sensor also does the steering wheel positioning for the DCCD. I haven't removed the position sensor so the DCCD still seems to operate - removal of the ring results in the diff defaulting to "open" apparently. I'm going to have to bodge the broken one to get the position sensor working and wires to horn and airbag. Getting a new or second hand one come MOT time seems a bit of an issue as there are various types. Fairly sure I've found one on ebay though.

@EddScott Headliner and trim looks brilliant, very European sports car. What paint did you use on the roof flap surround.

I've removed a few steering wheels on Impreza's never had problem with removal or fitting sounds odd. What you have done underneath? Mine needs sandblasting.

Thank you. I used Plasti-dip for the flap surround. The screw plugs I dyed using RIT dye. The small fasteners etc will dye black. The big plastic parts didn't. Got the idea from RC cars - I've used RIT dye in the past to dye wheels and diff housings on RC.

I've spoken with a couple of people who have said the angle sensor/air bag thing shoudn't have just come apart like that. It may be that as the two grey spikes were in the wheel and I moved it at an odd angle, I managed to pull the cover off the ring. I've got a 2nd hand one on the way. I had a look on Japanese Yahoo but couldn't find one there - have been lucky and found hard to find parts on there.

Underneath was stripped down to the shell. Painted white, everything powerder coated and refitted with new bushes, recon calipers with new discs/pads. Fit meister GT1 dampers, HKS Silent Hi Power exhaust, front arch liners which are Polish copies and fit like a cheap suit (coming off as they are absolute pants).

Flocked bits are being posted back today so hopefully get the interior finished this weekend. I would like to get the dash flocked but just can't face taking it out

Was it an impreza-specific kit or just a generic set of assorted sizes? If you've got a link please share it as my blobeye's A/C has never worked and I was thinking of just replacing all the o-rings and condenser before even bothering to attempt a leak-test and re-gas. I couldn't find a specific o-ring kit.

Thought I uploaded a photo of them, they are generic and I just eyed up the size.
