A widearch 2 door on xxr530's, how.......unique.
I really cant see the fascination with all this wide stuff, in years to come we'll look back at it like a 90's copy of Max Power.
Im waiting for someone to put a rocketbunny kit on a 22b, that will literally melt the internet.

It has a purpose, it give the car a wider track (2006 JDM STi runnng gear) and allows a wider wheel to be fitted which mean a bigger tyre contact patch - WHICH IS WHAT IS NEEDED FOR A COMPETETIVE CAR!
It was never done for show, it was done to serve a purpose, if you cannot see that then fair enough - it is my car after all.

What happened to John's wide arch P1 off the WOC? I know he had just about finished it, but then sold it on. Saw it advertised on Pistonheads. He spent a fortune on that machine, but didn't get to enjoy driving it when it was finished.
Back on the Yam subject,
I have sent him several messages asking him why he has benned me. He hasn't got the ***** to reply to me as he feels he is bigger than everyone else that is left on the WOC, so i guess he feels i don't deserve an explanation. I can't imagine that site will last much longer.
On average, 7 posts a day.
Sponsors are not going to get value for money at that rate, so i am sure they will not renew their sponsorship deal come renewal.
Site supporters, most of them agreed bar 2 members on a recent poll i did.
90% of members agreed, But Yam still went against his members and decided not to put the P1 list back up for all to see. Because he didn't agree with mine and many other comments, he deleted my poll, and banned me and another member for also commenting.
A real shame that Rob the previous owner of the site let this numpty run the site.
14 years of my time effort and contribution down the pan.
Yamarashi,
You are a member on here, so explain yourself. This site you don't have control of, so you can't start ***** waving on here.
The bullsh1t you said about new members not wanting to post on the site, because of me having to repeat my questions over and over again to you, just because you felt that you didn't need to answer my questions. But if you had have answered my questions the first time around, like a responsible member running the site, then i wouldn't have had to ask the same questions again. Since you banned me, i haven't seen many posts by new members at all. So it just goes to show, all your excuses for banning me are unjustified, and you have become power happy.
It's a sinking ship my friend....
A real shame you have brought the P1WOC to its knees. You say if it fails, then it isn't for the lack of trying.
trying. You aren't doing anything to keep it alive.
You struggle to run it on your own... You won't take on any mods to help you run it. (you like the power of making all the decisions
You don't promote any events or meets.
Your struggling to pay the bills... Blame yourself for that. No one wants to support a site that is going downhill.
You have deleted or moved out of view topics that other members have posted form public view.
Look how quiet the site has become....
If there is no reason for members to visit the site, due to lack of content, and the lack of enthusiasm by Yam to keep the site busy, then i really don't see how it has helped the site banning the members that have helped it get it to where it is today. There are some really good helpful guys on there too.
Just my 2 pence worth....

Your probably right.
He has alienated 90% of the members that took part in the poll. IIRC before the topic was deleted, that was around 28 members that could be bothered to post on there.
Yam told be he has 190 active members on there. Or had. But where are they all?

Seen it all before clubs ruined by people throwing their weight around.
Define active members? Logs in once a week? once a day? posts once a month/week/day?
Currently says 43 visitors today, but i'm guessing at least 50% of those are guests

I'm not sure on the active members count. Probably members he has listed. Not members that have posted since he took over.

Johned - he'll take 14 years worth of P1 history with him
Apart from 3 members, every member who bothered to vote or post, voted to have the P1 register reinstated to the P1WOC site
The register started by another recently Banned WOC member (BrianP1), happily sat for years allowing members to view, add to and updated as and when cars changed hands etc etc
It was removed from view because a couple of members didn't want their cars details highlighted - easy answer to that, ask for the details to be removed (simples)
Now the new WOC members joining the site looking for critical info on certain build numbers have no idea if that build was a write off brought back to life without being recorded damaged, has been a members car in the past, been involved in an accident, The info was all there, supplied by members over a 14 year period
In the future info like that will be invaluable as the classic prices rise, the dead P1's will come out of the woodwork just like the old Mk1 & Mk2 RS's just keep coming
I looked at the RB320 site the other day, they have a cracking register open for all to see, basic info displayed but at least there's a tool for tracking build numbers

Ignore that figure, most will be search bots.
'Total members that have visited the forum today: 52'
bit below shows the numbers of users at the time, guests will be bots other than odd person (i'll be counted as a guest at the min cos i have the page open)
'Currently Active Users: 42 (15 members and 27 guests)'

Sounds about right...
Tell him you want more security putting in place on his site, becuse when you log in, your log in details aren't secure. His site like this one SHOULD start with https/ If it doesn't, which the woc doesn't, then yours and evenone elses log in details are compromised and are at risk of being hacked. You are well within your right to request that he secures his site.
That will give him something to do, lets see if he changes it for the safety of his members. If not, post a topic on it alerting all the members.

And the proof was there for all to see, (untill he deleted the topic) how he handled the poll. And because he didn't agree with 90% of the members that took part, he deleted it.
How very professional of him.
Anyone care to post this topic as a linky over to Yam on the P1WOC? *Caution, you may get BANNED!!

From memory Yam took control after the P1oc split which l never fully understood.
If l remember correctly the woc closed for a short while, then came back with Yam at the helm, l do find his management of the site very much 'my way or the highway'.
I don't think he has ever had any other administrators so again that suggests he wants total control.
In truth the hey day of the club was probably 2006 - 10.
I was grateful that the woc was kept going, but l hardly ever visit now.

We were all grateful of the WOC coming back alive, and all of us have said this to Yam over and over again, but he still seems to think that we still all owe him something for this.
And we thought Hitler was bad....
