The reach on the SGS I linked is great too, the long jack body and a two piece handle that is about 5ft long when clicked together.
I had a very low MX5 which I couldn't get the jack under the front but you just drive it up onto small ramps then you can jack it up sky high.

That's me just stuck the order in for the SGS 2.5t trolley jack......
I like those ramps that you posted above, I think I'll order a set of them as well, then there should be no issues at all.

I had the same problem, so got a pair of these:

They just fit under the front, and if I back on to them there is just about enough height for me to get under.
They just squeeze under the skirts too...
