Absolutely none whatsoever, but imho that's not the point. It's Trump's decision to make and it's not as unreasonable as all the hysteria would suggest.
If the UK decided to ban all immigration from places like Somalia, Yemen etc for 90 days because they felt there was even a 1% chance they could improve the vetting I wouldn't bat an eyelid. Actually they could ban it for a year and I wouldn't mind.
After all we are hardly looking to Somalia or Yemen as a source of highly skilled engineers or scientists are we? These are failed states where barbaric medieval acts like female genital mutilation are routinely carried out.

Of course, from the refugees point of view there is a massive downside. I assumed that we were talking about the situation from the US point of view in which case there is no real downside as far as I can see. Hence my assertion that it's a 'reasonable' thing to do.
The indigenous populations of the western world need to see and feel that sometimes things are done with their vested (or perceived vested) interests at heart. It can't always be about everybody else.
When the liberal voice shouts and bullies everybody we get a right wing backlash. This is what we are seeing now. As much as this right wing resurgence unsettles me I feel it is to be expected and perhaps even needed to balance the completely out of control and increasingly flawed 'liberal' rhetoric.
As an example....the same liberal nut job wants to tell you all refugees from failed Islamic states are welcome here. .They will also tell you that they support the rights of the LGBT community. However many of the former believe that the latter are beneath contempt and will burn in hell.
It makes no sense.
I'm good thanks Martin . I stopped posting for a while because I felt I was spending too much time on here getting dragged into circular arguments with people just wanting to troll.
How's things with you?

Problem for me and I suspect others too is the rate of change, I drove through the area I used to live in for 20yrs and it looks like down town Bagdad... I'm sure they're up to no good because where there was once your average mixture of shops on the high street it's.... barber shop, takeaway... barber shop, takeaway... barber shop, takeaway... grocery store... barber shop, takeaway...barbershop, takeaway... each with it's own little crowd of dodgy looking fu@kers stood outside.... it's intimidating... local Asda is like the league of dodgy nations with barely a word of English being spoken... everywhere you turn it's either Polish of some description or hack, hack allah hack bar.
It's borderline Racist... I know, and probably down right Racist in the eyes of many, but it's how people feel...and you can't stop them from feeling it.
As many of you know my father was a black Jamaican and my mother is white... yet I feel as though I've travelled back in time to the 80's and have to watch my back wandering about that area these days... not having lived there for 10yrs so god knows how the few remaining local white folks feel.
I suspect this is being repeated up and down the UK, people are naturally afraid of what they don't know and the rate of change has not given them time to get to know these incomers and acclimatise... nor the incomers time to learn the language, make friends and become part of the local community... they've just flooded the place in a relatively short space of time, and it's changed... almost overnight.
That's the biggest problem, total lack of integration... which creates an us and them mentality... on both sides.

And forgot to add.... these Liberals don't have to live there because they're generally speaking considerably better off and living in a much nicer area, like me and just pop in there to buy some rice and exotic spices...
Right that enough from me, I'm off to grow a mullet and join a trade union.

A mentality which is frequently nurtured by certain elements in the media/politics to suit there cause... Shame really as the sooner the human race gets over this sort of crap and learns to behave as one race, the sooner world will become a far better place. At the end of the day all the average immigrant is trying to do is make a better life for themselves, which should really be commended but hey ho.

I think the problem isnt learning to live as one race .the problem is trying to do it in britain .
The ideal solution is where people can live a good life in there own country .
Are all the people from around the world greatful for our help and respectful of our country and values ?
Is welcoming everybody into britain the answer to the human races problems.
What about the groups of people in britain that clearly have no respect for our beliefs and values. They came here for a better life but want us to change our laws ect to further satisfy them .
