Can't remember the last time i saw a google "flaw" on the BBC headline news, I've certainly not heard of a "flaw" causing it to shutdown a phone either, nuff said.

BBC generate revenue in countries other than the UK, they're just as likely to jump on the hype train as you are.

I see it’s dropped heavily since its peak, anyone who bought in at the end of last year could possibly of lost a lot of money.

And anyone who sold made a lot. Glad I bought something at it's peak.

Lucky escape on my part. I tried to buy at $11,000 and had problems setting up my trading account. Thr price shot up pretty quick and I was still going to buy at $16,000.

I got distracted and never ended up buying any. Plan was to buy a fair amount and so would now have been sitting on many £k of losses.

BTC is screwed I reckon. There is a future out there for cryptos but one that sorts out all the problems of BTC.

The biggest problem was the crazy price hike, Bitcoin didn't handle it very well. Last week I moved my coins to a hardware wallet, it was done quickly and cheaply as it should be.

Glad you're unscathed.

The thing I see with buying bitcoin is that it can be stolen from you, invest some cash and you could loose the lot. Isn’t worth the grief.

How do you mean? Stolen as in ‘I had 1 bitcoin and now I have none’ or ‘my bitcoin is worth less than it was’?

Don't store your coins on an online wallet, I've used a wallet on my phone which is pretty safe and now use a hardware wallet which is even safer. Same as your bank account if you give someone your login details you will get robbed.

Totally possible and a bit easier than transferring your money from your bank account, taking the jewellery would be the better option.

All stocks are down too, Facebook was headed to £200. Anyhow, buy the dip actually, don't take my advice that was last years news.

Banks are not banning bitcoin, they're being sensible and stopping idiots from buying on credit cards, same goes for stocks and shares.

I was hoping to hit this threads anniversary with a bigger increase but I guess 700% will have to do, oh well
