Yes, US Govt. is corrupt as fcck; always been. Power crazy liar manipulators. Remember how they tried blocking Edward Snowden from entering Cuba for asylum? That time as well, as far as I remember, Castro came out and shouted out loud that it wasn't the Cuba but the US's blatant lie that Cuba wasn't prepared to welcome Snowden in the country.

Mind you, Snowden's ongoing saga is another story in its own, very valid right. Let's keep it for another day on another thread.

Ah, yes, Champagne Socialists...the IAJFEE's of this world, quite a few on here.

And Socialism? "Do as we say, not as we do..."
"Everyone is equal, but some are more equal than others." And this lot point the finger at the right? Muahahahahahahahahaha

Your man Corbyn is a good example, as was Bliar...oh, and Broon.

Well I have to say that I am much more socialist than I used to be mainly because I think the Tories have abandoned so many people and families in the UK. I've been through the list before but so many folk live appalling lives in this country being the 4th or 5th largest economy in the world while we waste so much money on HS2, Brexit etc etc.

Much of what Corbyn says is true but I couldn't trust him being in power as his man management skills seem to be zero and he would just f,uck things up. But I think he is probably honest without an ever growing sizeable bank account in the Caymens. Labour's only chance is to bring back David Miliband.

Oh and Roy Hattersley was the classic champagne socialist btw.

Not too sure about the champers (which is way over rated, much sooner have a 50 quid bottle of wine than a 50 quid bottle of champers) but they are all on the gravy train for sure.

RIP Castro, end of an era, shame we don't have such leaders in the UK that have that sort of passion for their country and the courage of their convictions, our lot could learn a thing or two from such a man.

But Champagne IS wine.

Just a 'special' type (fizzy), originally from the Champagne region.

I find the stuff extremely meh.

Real socialist will only drink cheapies such as Lambrusco and Lambarini, methinks.

This class bull$h7t on the basis of money stereotypes the consumption of such as an underclass thing, but if you're a real socialist with a high class mind, and not necessarily a hard drinker, you'd happily get p7ssed on them. Hard drinking socialist would drink Smirnoff Ice vodka neat on a park bench, I reckon. I think that's also a cheap drink.

I personally am a water socialist. Way under than the underclass.
