I run a forged 2.5 with 6 speed box in mine. I have a 5 speed stage 2 comp clutch and flywheel in it, currently at 418bhp.

I've done 3 santa pod days, 20+ launches plus numerous launches elsewhere. The engine is out at the moment so I did plan to replace the clutch, even tho its only done around 5000 miles UNTIL I took the clutch out and saw that its basically as good as new.

Stick with the 5 speed, its only 10mm smaller than the 6 speed and like you say, a quick flywheel skim and pop it back in with a new clutch and away you go. Only thing i've noticed is a LOT of places seem to be selling off their comp clutch stock, and when I wanted to order a new one from them direct I didnt get a reply to emails so they may have been taken over or something else. Scoobyworld have them on sale at the moment as do other places.

I have a used twin plate Exeddy in very good condition which I never got around to fitting to my V3 STI before I sold up. It's a 5 speed one and the flywheel is part of it. These are almost indestructible and can withstand repeated launches which is why I bought it. Id take £380 plus postage or you can collect if you are interested.

If you're seriously interested I'll dig it out of my huge spares stash and take photos. Scoobyclinic retail these at just under £2300 new just for the part so I'm giving this away.

Dont go to any trouble,i think a twin plate would be too much for the spec at the moment.
Probably going to get a cc stage 2 on there.
