It says it in the car manual under care and servicing mate. I had a look through it yesterday

 

That's very interesting, the MY08 Interactive Workshop manual lists it as integral with the pump.........

It's also interesting if you compare the 08/09/10/11 European Area Maintenance schedules to the UK Service and Warranty booklet.
It becomes clear why the 66K cambelt change is separate.

 

I assumed because the filter is not a serviceable part then it is referring to the whole unit on 2008 models in the service manual.

Interesting what you discovered above with the different information between 08, 09 and 11. Surely, the filter/pump unit is identical on each year so they must of changed their servicing procedure after 2008.

The DVD is purchasable from Subaru. I bought mine when I purchased the car (My11) so it includes MY08/09/10/11
