havent forgotten about the issue... just going on holiday.. I will get back to it on my return, thanks for the suggestions

 

well I got back to it on Sunday, it is the TGV motor.
it stops when I unplug it - the drivers side front of the engine, just under the air inlet pipe and MAF.
SO now i need to determine what part of the circuit is faulty, cable, connector or motor.
