IF (and that is unfortuneatly a big IF at the mo' should know for def tomorrow) I can come, can I put my bog standard Sti7 on the rollers and watch all the older cars thrash it.

it would be nice to have some figures before doing anything to it.

 

what happens on the rollers?
having never been before... i aint got a clue..

do u accelerated through the gears?
do they drive it?
do u take it for a quick burst before going on the rollers?
how many runs do they do?

Car tied down on rollers

Jim drives it, you stand and sweat as a nervous onlooker !

1 warm up / check run at low speed

1 full power run in (normally) 4th gear from 2000rpm until the
power curve starts to tail off (usually 6 - 6500 rpm) Takes 20 - 30 seconds.

Clutch dipped for coastdown, wher the rollers calculate the drag.

Print off of results shown on screen

Especially Sam's EVO and the Skylines They just rev for ever.

all the way to 8200 revs

Got myself a tripod for the video camera Keith, so should be able to get a bit more creative / professional with it this time.

And really looking forward to the new figures.

Did I mention .9bar from 2800rpm

I'll be there but not until at least 2pm probably nearer 3pm, but I was one of the first to confirm so hopefully will still get a run on the rollers

head for falkland performance,at big round-a-bout pass slip for falkland preformance and take next one for coalton(I think it is anyway),over next small round-a-bout,right at next r-a-b,down about 1/2mile see bankhead caravans on right,star performance in there.
