Just as an aside JT, I am under no illusions how dangerous Gove is (and have said it for months)

But I was have dinner with some friends on Saturday, one was a Met police officer, he used to gave a flat just across from Lambeth bridge

He told me about a Sunday morning he sat next to Gove in a cafe whilst having breakfast

Gove was going through the Sunday papers with a women (Presumably his wife - vine)

And he heard Gove being incredibly rude and derisory about a story regarding the "poor" benefit cheats, scroungers etc etc

On another note at the same dinner, my wife's business partner - who's brother works for the Central European Bank said they are all laughing at us

I think he's a well exposed, well-recognised psychopath by now. Thanks to his Brexit for it.

I mean, how can an email leak like that??? It doesn't, does it. Obviously, it was all part of the plan.

I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but I do understand Politics a bit.

A very inceitefull video! You don't often get to hear politicians speaking openly, off the record as it were, and as far as politicians go, Ken Clark is someone I've always held in (relatively) high regard. His insight into only a handful of crazies actually wanting to leave tells the whole story! Will be interesting if we get a non-brexiter for PM to see what they do. At the moment they say they will follow the will of the people, but maybe they will actually try and stave it off by going to the polls - either parliamentarry vote which will be planned to lose, 2nd referendum against an actual (unattractive) leave plan or general election fought on leave or remain.

Doesn't surprise me that the ECB are laughing at us, Hodgy, a sense of schadenfreude no doubt. It does, however, surprise me that Genghis Gove would let his mask slip. Surely he's too calculating? What an omnishambles!

funny isn't it though? We might get a right wing leader, everyone panics, bleats and cries.

Yet when Labour elect a left winger, those same people are loving it.

But aren't they just the same face, really? The left are responsible for far more deaths in Europe than the right......

So a remainer is clearly the fave to get Dave's job and she'd be my choice if I had a vote, that said why doesn't Dave just withdraw his resignation, it would be better for all of us.

I have to say that David Cameron looked a part standing over the marble stand while giving a speech in the Battle of Somme ceremony. I don't think this country has ever had such a smart looking PM before. Not my type but he looks quite neat and carries himself very well.

But go on. Hand on your heart, tell me if any of you actually had ever heard of that second lady in the race i.e. Andrea Leadsome before. I didn't. I don't know whether she has led some or even any. I've just heard her CV from her on the News. First time I heard all that.

Didn't know her name, but recognised here from some of her Brexit ranting during the campaign and she really wasn't very convincing when under pressure!

Glad Gove is now out, from the two remaining Ladies, I think I'd rather May, but can't really say I know enough about either!

I didn't know her name, didn't know her face, didn't know what she actually did and didn't even know that she ever existed. Theresa, on other hand, has been much better known in the UK. People even brought her here on SN in conversations and some hated her for her tactics. Anyway, she's certainly more this nation's bitter sweetheart than the other giving-it-large lady who requires Googling out. So yeah, Theresa May all the way for me, too.

May if I recall was the one who vocally expressed her annoyance and anger at our country's in ability to swiftly deport Abdul Qatada.

And also dissolved the Boarder agency after announcing its massive failings and backlogs.

On that basis it appears she has a good conviction in getting a job done and isn't scared to come on record on issues that need redress.

60% of Tory members are Leave supporters so will favour Leadsom over May

I think you'll find that the Corbyn appointment caused just as much alarm. You'd see how unpopular he is if we had a general election!

I'm not sure why you think the left has caused as many deaths in Europe as the right?

Quite possibly, but then Hitler is responsible for all of the deaths in Europe during WWII, as he started it. Stalin killed plenty, but lots weren't in Europe. Also, I suspect he has left out Franco (Spanish Civil war, very nasty) and WWI, which certainly wasn't left wing!

So, the right wins by some margin. However, I do agree with Alcazar that extreme left and right are the same, in those cases. It's pointless saying one or the other.
