As the rb320 Bilsteins are no longer available, I'm working on a Koni adjustable, 114.3pcd widetrack set-up, with some prototype Eibach springs and matching bump stops - to retain the compliance of the rb320 strut and spring set-up.

I wish they were not as bouncy on the B roads as its a cracking drive on normal roads but soon as I want to play up the country roads it does not feel planted struts were all good no knocking etc pretty smooth side BUT I wish it had more stiffness and stability or am I asking for too much?

I placed the order on Monday, I don't know what the lead time is but with this and that, can't see them being on the car until well into July.
The price tag is about where I wanted to be, up from the BC BR range but not 2k, which others mentioned are if topmounts are included. The B14's are very slightly cheaper but don't have adjustable damping which for me did swing it. Very much personal choice.
The GT1's look good and have been developed from MeisterR's experience of what they already have, so that has reassured me.

I hope dozzas come before and I can decide wether good or crap.
With B.A.D help of design they can't be that bad, and with my convo with jerrick he seems very adamant I'll be happy and a no quibble warranty.

Just awaiting the prototype springs from Eibach - 3 month lead time (they're supposedly due 18th June). But, they're normally 6/8 weeks behind schedule.

You keep looking at STI wagons ("But, how would they be on UK roads?"), Plenty trying to get a newage with P1-style suspension and InTurbo's great rb320 suspension thread.
I thought, there must be a way to square that circle, with available dampers/inserts.
Do you really need to reduce suspension compliance with coilovers and restrict suspension independence with big bars, for track day fun?

Any more options best suspension for road use? So I can keep my eyes open or atleast start saving for some, the more I drive the car I get more confident with the drive and the more I want to throw it about but I know my current setup will only take so much

I certainly don't find my RB style set up bouncy, It's firm but soaks up the bumps very well.
What springs and tyres are you using with them, Also where they bought new or used?
One option you can look at is having them rebuilt this may improve things,
Or you could have them revalved to suit your driving style.
Peter Cambride can have them revalved to suit a more aggressive driving,
If your using the correct Rb320 Eibach springs he can look at the available Travel, fast speed and low speed damping curves and fine tune them to your taste.
I believe there's a way of reducing roll and pitch behaviour by adjusting the slow speed bump settings without undue harshness being added.
You can either sent the dampers off for adjustment and have the car off the road for a bit, Or a the more expensive option is having new damper inserts sent out with the revised damping.

Don't get me wrong on normal roads they are perfect and on the motorway superb but on the B roads it's not happy, geometry is all setup right I'm going down the route of replacing the whole units as I don't like the feel on country roads as on my previous setup on my bugeye I had the spec c units and the car drove perfect on all roads for me so I will try "2pots arrangement " when he is ready hopefully unless I can source some widetrack spec c suspension.
I'm using the black springs that were made by eibach for prodrive, tyres are 235 45 17 Bridgestone re070's alloys are same width as genuine items

I have exe-tc fast road coilovers fitted to my bugeye, they are height adjustable, the damping is none adjustable but they are perfect for road use just a little firmer than std sti suspension but very well damped not harsh or crashy & very good at speed on bumpy b roads, they're are not the cheapest out there but they are excellent quality & great value for money in my opinion.

To be fair, I was going to think that no matter what I used as I was used to Tein solid steel bars..... so there was no body roll and no compliance.
This set up is actually alot better. It knocked 0.3sec off my drag strip times and now I am getting used to the compliance and have adjusted the damping and evened out the ride height it is a million times better than when I made that post.
