Just had a phonecall from the supplying BMW dealership and I'm apparently their 1st allocation for Q1 in 2017!

Added the full M2 enhanced kit which consists of carbon fibre rear spoiler, side blades, rear diffuser, front splitter corners, black kidney grills and side grilles.

Can't make my mind up on the carbon tipped sports exhaust at present.

Saw an M2 parked smack bang outside the reception doors of my BMW dealership. Looks amazing especially in that baby blue.

I am looking at the possibility of buying one of these!

Its either the M2, a new WRX STI, or a used GT-R.

WRX is about £30k, a good used GT-R is about £40k and the M2 will be about £50k by the time I have added all the options I want!

Had two E46 M3's and loved them.

Considered a GTR but It wouldn't be practical for me and the running costs are stupid. Also looked at 997 Turbos but trying to find a decent manual one within budget was impossible

I've had mine two weeks, still running in but it's freakin awesome!!. I would hold out on the sports exhaust until you get the car. I find the standard exhaust sounds pretty good already.

Just what I thought about doing. £2800 is a lot of cash for an exhaust especially when the standard one seems to sound so good.

Have you tried the hidden exhaust hack yet ?

If you mean pressing the TC button while in comfort mode, yes and it sounds pretty good. £2800 is alot for the exhaust and I think they take the **** charging extra for the tips. Although Cotswold BMW will do it for £2400.

I would rather spend the money on the Mperformance suspension.

That's the one yeah. Does it actually make a difference to the exhaust sound?

I got my local Stealer to match Cotswold's price of £2500 on the Enhanced Kit so I'm sure they'd do the same on the exhaust.

Jesus, does that thing sound good! A more entertaining review than the usual, generic type by some boring motoring journo.

I don't think the "John" alter-ego and smiley face is fooling anybody, though.

So much for keeping it below 5500 Rpm for the 1st 1200 miles

Single turbo but twin scroll not twin turbo and NO they can't be mapped to 450 Bhp. From what I've been told the turbo maxes out at 420 Bhp

And I'm sure he says the M2 (at 365 bhp) has less power than the 1M coupe, which isn't right. The 1M had about 340, I believe.

Ha, I haven't got a problem with Bodski! I was only joking about hoping he crashes his M2. Actually, when he was thinking about getting a TTRS, I offered to take him for a razz in mine. I would've let him drive it, too.

I was having a joke with Scoobyboy and used it as an opportunity to use my favourite emoticon (s**t hits the fan) and then he called me a muppet, so I thought I'd bust his *****, that's all.
