Lovely car, although I'm still struggling with the rear end, just don't like those light clusters, very bland for a BM

I do like em, but to get into one, ~55-60K atm, is that right? That's a decent 11/12 plate later model GTR money.

What I would say, is that the M2 looks better in the flesh.

I wouldn't last 5 minutes in one of these after 20 years of 4wd performance cars.. Watched a collection video of an M2 the other day, looks like it wants to kill you at everything other than a dead straight line!

I've specced mine quite well and it comes in at just under £50k.

£15k down and around £400 a month with a final payment after 3 years.

Really? how did you manage that, sounds like you got a great deal, all the new ones on autotrader, lowest prices start at anywhere between 52-55K.

The M2 vid I've seen he goes to open it up and it just seems to want to go sideways, duck fat!!

I don't understand why BMW don't come out with an x drive 1 series hatch, 1MX or something. Same engine as the M2 but in 4wd hatch. Or even an M135i X drive.

Have fun!

I've driven quite a few high powered RWD cars and always enjoyed it. The M2 has a very trick diff and seems to be very controllable on the limit.

I'll book myself in for a driver training day when I first get it to better understand It's handling.

I can't wait

Hi,
The M2 looks amazing and is on my radar to replace the Infniti G37s coupe that I have in Abu Dhabi.
The Infiniti is 330hp for this market and that power through the rear wheels can get interesting at times! We hardly get rain - so don't have many sideways wet moments but you can still get caught out by thin layers of sand on the roads, following sand storms (a bit like driving on diesel/water mix).
Whilst a 4wd M2 would be interesting - it really goes against the ethos of this type of M car.
Cheers
Steve

I also have one of these on order, expected delivery first week of September. After ten years of evos and Imprezas (3 spec c) I fancied a change. I had my deposit down since May 15.

I managed to get a test drive yesterday in a DCT car with the full performance kit and exhaust. I was really impressed and may change from manual to DCT. The car was at Fairfield BMW Southend if you wanted to try one out

Cheers for that Mark. Not far from me!

That's an impressive delivery schedule. What dealer is that from?

Unfortunately I did mean May 2015. My dealer has been pretty useless, apparently I'm getting their first car?. I probably should have gone to another dealer but then I would be looking at least another years wait.

Must be a small dealer, most seem to already had 1-2 cars.

I'm number 5 at mine.

I've gone DCT as I feel it adds to the fun factor

Default Lovely

Superb-looking car mate. I have a humble 220i now after after a few years with a 335i E91 Touring with 300 horses from its N55 in-line 6. Through the twisties the 220i has superb balance and is properly planted because of its wider track front and rear and would be much much faster than the 335i because of it. I can imagine a tweaked 2 series chassis would be a riot with the superb sound and power of the N55 pushing it. Enjoy!

Its probably accurate.
I think the facial deformity is caused by the constant grim we have on our faces while driving our BMW's.

I'm an ugly bugger anyway so the stereotype will be confirmed
