Mind you, tooth pain is another story. Nothing can distract you from it, it's so bleddy awful. That comes second to the child delivering labour pain imo.
That sucks, I hope it doesn't happen too often. Yeah, tooth pain can be a real b@stard, that's for sure. I need to have root canal at some point, but now that I am in America it will probably mean I need to remortgage my home to get anything done!

Turns out I probably have pericarditis according to the doctors in UK when I was rushed to hospital just beore coming back here. That has gotten worse due to not going to the doctors....so, Alcazar, get your butt down to the doctors, you never know, something worse could be going on (and lets face it, your luck never seems to be great!)

Well, it's still with me, no energy, short of breath, coughing and still snuffling.

I even had to sit down at Sainsways yesterday after packing my stuff, I thought I was going to pass out.

Doctor this afto, but only seeing the nurse. No appointments left by the time I got through.

Hope it all goes well and you will probably by the sound of it have to take some antibiotics.

As we thought...antibiotics and some prednisone.

My lungs are congested to hell, as are my sinuses and I've got bronchitis.

Hopefully I'll knock this on the head now.

That will be the antibiotics.

Do you mind if I ask what type of antibiotics you were prescribed?

So they have given you a generic antibiotic that is designed to kill many different types of bacteria in the body, and also a steroid based anti-inflammatory. Thats pretty typical of a GP really.

Its far easier for them to just prescribe those types of drugs in the hope that it will kill what ever bacteria is causing you problems. Problem is, they dont know the exact bacteria that is casing your problems, unless they took samples?

Having dealt with both bronchitis and asthma since childhood, I was on various antibiotics and steroids for many years, I also suffered with my ears for many years, even after several operations, and yes, lots more antibiotics!

In the end, I got fed up, literally, with antibiotics that worked for a little while, then no longer. So I took it upon myself to find a different approach to the problem.

I will not go into detail here as some of the techniques that I have used are quite unorthodox and I would not want people trying them without first learning about them. But I will tell you that they way I deal with illness can be used for so many different applications.

If you want to know more, PM me, I am happy to give you more info. No charge!!!

I don't know about different antibiotics, I saw the nurse practitioner, no doctor's appts available.

She looked back on my records, found a bout of the same thing two years back, it didn't then respond to Amoxycillin, so given Doxycilin, which knocked it out.

We sahll see.

I'm under orders to go back Tuesday if not better. I am breathing better, but still wheezing, still with the headaches and still coughing, more so than yesterday.

My 6 year old lad has been fighting this for 10 days now , 2 doctors visits , 2 visits to a&e for nebuliser and finally children's hospital to check his lungs.
He's on 2nd batch of antibiotics....he's got to the stage where he's going to sleep sat upright as when he lays down its worse...
He says he has a meatball stuck down there somewhere and he's trying to cough it up

My very best wishes to him. it's not good as an adult, but as a child, it must be horrid.

Three days into the treatment, headaches that makes me fill sick and my eyes cross, lying down in the dark is the only way to get any relief..........and that's transient.
