Hi,
When we lived in the UK - we were somehow targeted by phone poll calls (despite being ex-directory). I always answered all their questions - but my answers were always the opposite to what I felt and how I would actually vote.
I suspect many if the 1000 people called did the same as me!
Cheers

Yep I told one phone poll about drinking habits that I'd drink 50pints of brew XI every week and worked as an addiction therapist.

They never stop rattling that one off either.
Would be better if we could rattle the signs off buildings saying was funded by the EU.Its UK money to begin with, that we paid to the EU,and they gave us some of it back, and tell us what we can spend it on.All you hear from the remain is negative comments about the UK.If we freed ourselves from the handcuffs how it will be such disaster.weak and living in fear, just such a scared defeatist attitude,no faith in your own country. The things it has achieved in the past and what it could in future,Without living under the corrupt, bureaucracy of Brussels.

How about trade agreements which are unhindered by our so called EU 'partners' who are only looking after their own interests. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016...g-uk-billions/

Maybe, maybe not.

I'm not sure that falls under the banner of 'great things' we could achieve though.

Prove the existence of god.

It's about as achievable as trying to predict an accurate future with an agenda

So what 'great things' do we achieve in the EU?

Martin, I presume you're wanting to stay in the EU? You asked a question what does the EU hinder UK by being in the club, then dodge the question when reversed.

Achieve stronger trade deals with other nations. Freedom to spend UK resources without the need of sending our money to the EU,and they give us some of it back and tell us what to do with it.Achieve control our national borders.deregulate the EU’s costly mass of laws, regenerate Britain’s fisheries.restore British customs and traditions.Just a small example of some things that can be done.I just never known such limp politicians who talk such negative about this country,as if the EU is our life and blood and will be handcuffed to bureaucracy of Brussels for ever more.If was true what they say, then OK point taken, but its not true, just more spin and scandal to frighten voters into staying.Just imagine Churchill saying on the radio to this country during the war, give up surrender, that's basically what the remain politicians are saying,we need big daddy Brussels to take care of us,tell us what what to do,and if we get out of line, will get the big stick out and threaten us.You may want cower under Brussels and the unelected Martin, but I do not.You watch how they start taking more and more and will begin to speed things up..

There was a clip of an old gentleman member of parliament, who shot down a current minister.

He said being out of the eu is just that. Being out.

That most of the modern worls is out of the eu, and most of them are doing a dam sight better than the eu country's

So I have to justify someone's daft comment.

Some seriously weird logic going on here.

C'mon, It's ok to have an opinion but this is just a public exercise to perpetuate the illusion of Democracy!
To make people believe they are free and that they have a choice in Political matters!
What you and I vote makes no difference, in my opinion of course.

It makes absolute no difference with the unelected in Brussels. But its also not right that this country and the people of this country, are being told nonsense scare stories to frighten them into voting remain.Even that bloody French buisnessman Maurice levy, saying if the UK leave, the remaining countries in the EU are going to get very angry. Is this country really going to allow itself to submit to threats such as this,we are basically being forced, threatened, bullied into staying in 😡.We allow this to happen and don't stand up for ourselves,we will always be the puppet, and these are the kind of people who will be pulling the strings.

Politicians would have to do some actual work if we came out. They won't have the EU to do it for them, or blame when it doesn't go right.
Perhaps that's why a lot of them want to stay in.

A more balanced view on what the Canadian deal (CETA) is like. And this, remember, is likely the best sort of deal the UK could hope for.

So the Swiss and Norwegian relationships with the EU have already been shown to be unpalatable to the Leave campaign, this isn't really much better.

A question for all of those in the Remain camp:
If the UK wasn't already a member of the EU, and the forthcoming referendum was a vote on whether to join it, how many of you would be in favour of doing so?

That is a really interesting question. It's impossible to say, as we don't know how the UK would have fared out of the EU. I still believe that I would choose whatever I thought was best, and if not joining was that's what I would choose, I really would.

However, that is not how history panned out, and I honestly believe that we are better off in. I do believe the EU needs reforming, I am under no illusions it's perfect.

politicians throughout the world, especially in the western neo liberal economies have ceded much of their control to the markets, in a process that started over 30 years ago

in reality they tinker at the margins - which is still worth voting for imo

but for many things - and the really big things the market rules
