As I see it, Jeff is implying that immigration will be curbed if we exit the EU and that because immigrants rape our women, exiting the EU will protect the latter. The knock-on is that by voting to stay in one is giving free rein to foreigners to forcibly penetrate our wives, mothers, daughters and so on. It's demagoguery of the highest order and derserves nothing more than contempt. I'm surprised you seek to defend it, my friend.

The fact, and it IS fact, remains that your average young Muslim male has NO respect for women and even less for non-Muslim women.
So why in the name of all that's Holy, would we want an influx here?

I know of several people who holidayed in Turkey and will do so no longer because of the Turkish males' approach to daughters/sisters.

The facts are severly lacking on both sides.

 

Judging by what we've witnessed with Scottish Referendum and General Election, I doubt many voters will go beyond whats circulating in Twitter and Facebook; scaremongering and character assassinations of those who are "campaigning" for the EU Referendum.....and social media is supposed to make us more "engaged" in this process.

 

See this is what worried me when they announced we'd get a referendum. Far too many people will be making quite a big decision based on half truths and lies.

the outers were always going to have a problem (like in the Scottish referendum ) with articulating - to any degree of certainty what things would look like on the outside

it is all on a "best guess" basis

the IN campaign can simply say "leap in the dark" - and it is quite a powerful message, because to a large extent it is true

yes - we will negotiate trade deals etc etc - on what exact terms, no one knows

yes we won't collapse into the north sea, life and business will go on

the problem is that (and this thread demonstrates it quite well) the whole thing is being framed around immigration / asylum etc


which although important is just one aspect of it

the whole thing is a balancing act between pros and cons on each side

What actually happened was you were presented with the facts, didn't like them, so moved back to immigration.

 

Not at all, Martin.......the "facts" as you call them, seem to change depending on who you ask.

And the FACT remains that money is bleeding OUT of the UK at a time when we have record homeless, record servicemen suffering PTSD, record youth unemployment, a crumbling NHS, crumbling roads, and railways, OAP's working longer for their meagre pensions, and going cold and hungry if retired, and the steelworks stumbling from one EC positioned stumbling block to the next.

Crazy. Under those conditions NOT ONE PENNY should go outside the UK until this country is properly back on it's feet. And I include foreign aid in that.

 

I'm trying hard not to, but the stories keep multiplying. If it were a one off, I could see your point, but it's not, is it?

And I am firmly in the camp that says that ONE assault/rape is one too many. I'd rather exclude all migrants, to prevent one assault, than take the chance of it happening, and trying to pick up the pieces afterwards. If ANY of them can't behave, they spoil it for the others. that's life, I'm afraid. Having been a footy fan all my life, I've seen how that works. unfair? Yep, but it works.
