I used to buy in to the whole 1984 thing. Truth is I get to express my views, practice my religion, travel freely, eat and drink what I want and that's just a handful of liberties I enjoy amongst many. We have to have laws, because the vast majority of humans aren't sufficiently evolved to live in anarchy. One of the few concessions I would make is to the power of advertising and how it impacts on the conciousnesses of the credulous, the vulnerable and the wilfully naive - the economic cannon fodder. Nonetheless, the aforementioned can take the red pill at anytime, only in this reality Smith will not look to hunt you down. I guess the greatest liberty we enjoy is that we get to, as Guns and Roses put it, use our illusion. The same cannot be said of totalitarian ideologies like Islam where your illusion is chosen for you and enforced through punitive measures. There but for the grace of God go I.

Some are really taking in by the establishment,eyes are so closed off to the possibility that things didn't always go the way it's been told,And everyone was told Hitler died in the war,recent events proved strongly that he didn't die in his bunker but fled to Brazil.

Eversince this referendum,some these remainers and the lazy 18/24 years old didn't vote,but have the time and effort to parade on the streets of London who only appear to keep saying the words xenaphobia or racism,we love the EU leave siders are thick and uneducated just makes me laugh.Governments have lied and covered up a lot of things over the years,and these things are being made known as time goes on,even down to things like the expenses scandal.
Can i ask the scottish people in this thread how they voted and how the peoole they know voted . My ratio is around 10v2 to leave. I obviously dont mix with the kind of person that voted to stay

I may be wrong but I think assumption was that PM would just make a statement but there wouldn't be a vote. On the face o it the legal argument seems quite strong as legislation being the 1972 Act can only be rescinded by further legislation.
