Please go see a doctor aRSe_Matt. I strongly believe you have a serious condition.

Delusional disorder is a psychiatric condition in which the patients present with delusions, but with no accompanying prominent hallucinations, thought disorder, mood disorder, or significant flattening of affect. Delusions are a specific symptom of psychosis. Delusions can be bizarre or non-bizarre in content.
Do you HONESTLY believe your own drivel??????

My 300lbft car cant physically run mid 12s with poor terminals without a considerable 0-60mph. For example the 395hp Cosworth STi runs a slower 1/4 mile than mine but has a bigger terminal than mine and that car runs 3.5 secs to 60mph. 3.1 isnt a ludicrous claim, especially when i put all my data into a very technical speed calculator and it came up with the same. 2.9 0-60 is what I feel will be needed for an 11.9 second run. I should have a similar power to weight ratio of the early Nissan GTRs by then but without the traction and gearing problems of a big power STI. MickyWRX ran 12.4 with just 289lbft and a similar terminal to mine, his 0-60 will have also been low 3`s, he too didnt have the torque to cause any wheel/clutch spin on launch or whilst changing and . No extra gear change.

I just hope the 0-60mph timing gear is available this year as I'm dying to silence the cynics!
Dude I asked for proof not for you to exercise your fingers on the keyboard I must say you are in denial and certainly a wasteful excuse for a human being that entertains others on the pitiful ****e you believe in YOU ARE A DISGRACE TO ALL WRX OWNERS YOU SHOULD HAVE STUCK TO DOIN TAXIS IN YOUR CARINA E Chatting ****e to your customers

I think STi owners quickly see "fast" and "wrx" in a paragraph and the 'WRX denial' kicks in. The not genuinely knowing is just as frustrating for me guys.

Let's get back on topic and wait for my summer timing slip in the meantime!

Why do numerous threads end up revolving around RS_Matt and his now Nissan GTR beating WRX?

Inattentive ADHD used to be called attention deficit disorder. Children who have it have a lot of difficulty paying attention
I'm not being funny but I'm having to find pics of blue Scoobs as STi owners are voting all the yellow cars up.

Do the Mods not see that it's **** like this, that's spouted by this idiot, that's driving users away from this site?

Posting non sensical rubbish and hijacking any and every thread to discuss WRX drag times? It's not even funny anymore and making this forum unusable.

As said before, he is a very, very good troll. But it's just getting boring now.

It definitely would from a rolling start. A relatively new matte blue M3 seriously spanked my **** in Wakefield not that long ago, and from a standing start. I'd say it left me as quick as what my mate's R1 left me, though he is 20 stone.

I'd love to know what he'd done to it, if anything :/

TBH I'm trying to keep it all in here now (even though "should have got an STi and not the poverty spec" WRX bashing goes on all over the forum, and it grates tbh) and it's a great thread to compare Newages to classics or WRX's to STis!

I've heard it mentioned before that the wrx is a better car for daily driving / in the streets , however it was said that for the track the sti is obviously the better option ,

As far as 1/4 mile times go the wrx does apparently have better suited gearing for this ,

A seperate thread to discuss the matter is a good idea

Easy to get a decent 60 foot time in a poverty spec wrx, its a lot harder to do it in a big power car simple as that

The STi will be better on both road and track. WRX is just a little more efficient and is perhaps easier to launch hard. (But certainly not safer.) These aren't usually attributes a potential Subaru owner would consider though. (no matter how hard I tell them it should be!)

The STI also has better gearing for drag strip terminals so it's a case of having a low powered WRX's punching above their weight on the strip or high powered STI's blitzing just about anything on the strip.

WRX's can't do power easily and the STi isn't as efficient to make the most of up to 350bhp but the Spec C is one STi that can overcome the short ratio 0-60mph issue with its higher rev limit lengthening time in gear, the ratios will still be short to 60 which means chances of wheelspin whilst launching and slight spin whilst changing gear fast but you won't get that extra gear change. Perhaps some slightly taller and wider wheels could help even further with the Spec C's traction when launching at 6,000rpm and changing as high as 8,000rpm to 2nd.

Considering you're newb you will get a pass but if you know me then you will understand my comment was in jest to annoy matt, however the point is fact though much harder to launch a car with big power

I'd be interested to know how easy it is to get power down in 1st and 2nd in something like a Spec C, do owners find themselves launching at lower revs and short shifting??

The 300lbft Golf TDI have just had was terrible for taking off as it'd just spin in the first 3 gears. My WRX is different, obviously it has the awd but when launching as high as 6,000rpm I find the ratios that long that traction-loss isn't even in the equation. TBH 1st is so long I have to slip the clutch substantially as it's a bit like setting off in 2nd, it helps combat spin further though. I can imagine with the torque of a Spec C getting exaggerated by the much shorter ratios that launching at 6,000rpm would present issues and even wheelspin when changing up at the limiter.

Good question. When I started the list, I wanted to call it 'best Impreza' but then I realised recently Subaru had dropped the 'Impreza' name, I think the latest model is a 'Subaru WRX STi,' I'm not sure if the previous model was still the Impreza. I couldn't call the list 'best Subaru' as I didn't want to list the BRZ etc. So basically I went with WRX and just hoped that no Turbo 2000 fanboys would cop on.

Never launched above 5k in mine...and as the VF36 is running out of flow at 6.5k rpm there's no point in going near the limiter as its would be quicker to grab another gear at peak torque

I found the video I had watched in regards to the wrx being the better car, comment , and for the record I have the wrx sti( not the new one , the better looking classic shaped one) , It's what I wanted ,

Anyway ,here is the reason for my comment ,

I can't remember exactly what's in it , btw
