Thanks again. Site's been a big help but has also confused me as it doesn't list a '1998 Sti Type R Limited' (amongst other cars) where other sites do

RA timeline lists a 1999/2000 STI Type R Limited so I suspect they must be the only years it was made.

Surely the best car is the one McRae actually won the 95 (I think or was it 96) title with, the 555 one I think? my memory is a bit rusty.

I mean the actual car not a run of the mill one.

Not really, those cars I listed are from other sites that aren't on type-ra.com, I'm not suggesting they have been missed off type-ra but might be just examples re-worded.

I'm just trying to be thorough before sharing the finished link to other Subaru communities.

That's why I've used it from pretty much the get go.

It's been a godsend and like I say I only have a few cars from over 200 to eliminate from the list. There might be a few pictures that aren't of the corresponding cars but I'm sure it'll be pointed out at some stage.

I still have a few questions though like was there a 1992 WRX or was the first model classed as a 1993?

Everything is already done for you thanks to www.Type-ra.com It has taken years of research to get it as accurate as possible using resources that you wont have access to

Have a look at the definitive VIN decoder which supersedes anything anywhere else in the world

http://www.type-ra.com/impreza-model-code/

Its very easy to search if you know what you are doing

If I was you, I would be linking this to your other forums

Cheers

Sorted, the list should be at least 95% correct now barring a few typos or misplaced pics! does the RA list only go to the 2009 GT-S or am I not searching the site right?

It was stuff like this site that was cocking me up early doors
http://www.autosnout.com/Car-Perform...?EditionID=535

A car not listed on type-ra, I'm guessing people are erroneously labeling the 2003 Spec C Limited as a 2003 Spec C Type RA?

Also the site has this - http://www.type-ra.com/92ra/# as a 2002 RA but the timeline list starts at 1993 and has the same pic of the car as a 1993 model.

Why..... because you're giving out incorrect infomation. What's the point of a forum when long time members give out bull **** info. What chance do newbies have ?

Like I said, do some research hey fella

All the JDM cars up to MY2016 are in the database but the MY09 upwards are not yet live.
There is one GC8 missing however. Can you figure it out

That info is incorrect - a 2003 Spec C without a roof vent???

I can't follow the link to that? But I'm guessing it's a 1992 RA which would be an MY93 car.

Oh dear Matty, its really got you upset!! Im so sorry that I gave out the incorrect information and i'll make sure I study the sacred code of the Type R & RA correct model/vin code in future(im still learning GC8 colour codes), god forbid some newbie on here bought a normal Type R and got shafted thinking it was a 555 limited as I stated in my original list of Type R's

Off I go to join the Type Ra forum, and do some research for future Type R & RA discussions!!!

Turbo 2000.

There's this too http://www.torquestats.com/index.php?car_id=301

and a forum chatting about a 2003 Spec C Type RA Limited

http://www.subaru-impreza.org/forum/...c-limited.html

And wiki list a 2003 Spec C Type RA

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Subaru..._International

I've removed it from the list though as I expect they all refer to the 2003 Spec C Limited listed on your site.

I've listed the 04/05 WRX/STI 3 times each on the list because the Jdm, Euro and US models are completely different animals.

The Type-RA.com database is JDM only so no 2.2 GC8s or T2000s.

Without model code & option code all that info is pointless speculation. There was on 1 MY of the Type RA Spec C

The rally car itself?

Do you know what the rarest Subaru model is in the world? Or are there any that are extinct so to speak.

Jeebus H Christ on a raft Matt!

We created a database that's easy to read, a timeline with all the JDM cars (except one ) each one with a pic from the factory brochure, how much easier does it get?

I have no idea which is the rarest, or extinct.

We do however have: production numbers, dates and lots of other **** info that will probably be boring to most folks.

It's not upset me chap, I just don't see the point of dishing out infomation/advice if it's not correct. The entire reason for places like this is so others can come online and learn about the brand. If the info on here is not right then what's the point.

But then I suppose places like this keep all the owners who don't really give a **** off places like typera.com ,so in that respect, knock yourself out fella

Only 1,400 votes so far but unsurprisingly the 22B is pulling away, pretty surprised by the 'Spec D' and '2016 STI's' top ten standing.

I might be better including the Version number for each sti :/

Why? They're both better than any WRX, especially the Spec D.
