Ha well that would be nice but I'm not so sure, there is definitely a 10 in my car on that lumpy old runway I'm just yet to find it yet, Martyn will be in the 9's though so the gap will remain the same. Having said this I'm not that fussed about the drag strip and my car is focused for the track, drag racing is fun and I'm just pleased to see what it can do, rather than go all out making lots of little changes chasing that last 1/10th of a second.

If you play forza (known for realistic handling models) you will know gtrs are understeering pigs!
Great drag cars but nothing compared to lightweight mid engine thorough breeds like Ferraris and McLaren's
R35's look like crap too imo

As for the comparison against the classic, the biggest place you'd notice the difference is under braking. Anywhere else I doubt there'd be much in it.

Top cars, but all so Top money, service and parts alone and forbid something goes seriously wrong,I don't think that selling the house is a viable option,Subaru's are in the middle ground which is perfect for your normal working mans budget, but if you can afford GTR running cost and maintenance then why not,to be honest its never been an itch that I have felt the need to scratch.SJ.

And Agility (change off direction) Aswel. Tracks like the nurburgring and top gear test track obviously favour a gtr on more complex tracks my money would be on the modded classics.

As far as jap cars go , the gtr is the top , the only contender would be the Honda nsx

not to mention they can take 900hp on stock internals were as the nsx has little to no tune ability.

Here are some reasons to consider
The NSX does have a higher top speed.
The NSX is lighter and more aerodynamic.
The NSX is more luxurious.
The NSX has better handling.
The NSX is more reliable.
The NSX is more comfortable and has a quieter ride.
The NSX has a better resale value.
The NSX looks much better.

I'm not convinced it is to be honest, certainly not embarassingly so anyways. Yeah the stock Supra has a bit more power (50bhp ish) but it's also a good 1-200kg heavier.

Had time to watch a few video and as I suspected it's nonsencse to claim a supra would embarrass the nsx like was suggested .
I've no idea why it's mentioned the nsx can't be tuned , just seen a 1000bhp one , seems enough to me

Supras are already set up for forced induction. Some big power ones uses a single big turbo. These cars even with rear wheels so wide a tyre fitter would laugh if you asked if they would fit your Impreza still snake about in 2nd and 3rd gear.
That gen supra was well over engineerd. It was there flag ship model and they spend something like 10x+ the budget they used on the MR2.
Simple bolt on mods that we do to our cars (intercooler, boost pipes decat remap air filter etc) will produce supercar performance.
How exactly are these people getting 1000bhp from thee 3.0 or 3.2 n/a nsx? Very expensive custom turbo or supercharger kits I bet. Or isit the vetec

Not ony that you say more reliable but a supra uses CAST pistons that have been proven to take power that would most probably melt and nsx's
Sorry just because it looks exotic I don't think its the second best jap car ever!

To the nsx credit it will launch hard like all mid engine cars do but being rwd only it would defiantly take a good amount of skill to drive fast at the limit

It's going to cost a lot to get either car over 900 bhp you are probably right more so the nsx , but personally that isn't something I take into account when comparing what car is better ,
I used to have a mk2 crx since then I've been a Honda man , (I bought the Subaru beccause Honda didn't do car with that kind of performance, for the same money )
I did a bit of a Google search and the nsx is a special car held in high regard by many , personally I think it's a different class than the supra
I'd be up for a test on that ,kinda top trumps style ,
Or if there is a record of each cars lap time round the nurburgring , but they have to be equally modded

Well after writing that I googled nurburgring record scrolling down all the usual suspects , a few gtr then at 86th Subaru wrx sti ,lol keep going down nsx-r 97th no mention of the supra ,
I know that's not desisive but funny the wrx sti was higher , I shouldn't have doubted Subaru
The nsx isn't a contender against the gtr after all but still a great piece of jap aluminium ,
The new nsx is a contender for the top jap motor in my opinion anyway

Why? Because when they break traction the engine behind the driver acts as a pendulum. Over correct. Lift off. Or to slower reactions and your crashing.
Something like a La Ferrari with all driver aids off would be nearly impossible for me and you to get round without crashing if we were going for it!

Not surprised realy it would be terrifying driving a lightweight mid engine rear wheel drive "supercar" around the ring. You'd never see a Ferrari f430 performing a controlled slide at the ring.

What your talking about is driving a car to its limit , the nsx has been driven around the ring at a top 100 time , the same can't be said for the supra , talking standard trim production versions ,
Strangely though the impreza that did it in a record time for a sedan was modified using parts from two different my sti and undertray and gurney lip , couple other things , but the interesting thing for me is that it only had 320 bhp ,
