Worth noting that Speediest now detects that you don't have Flash install and offers the Beta HTML5 version you see in my posts. It was one of the only things I missed about Flash.

Depends, if you have the SH2/AC or the SH3, buying your own is useful, but you have to use the router supplied by VM to get online, just put it in modem only mode.

Location is the CMTS he's on, not his actual location, but yeah having an IP on display can cause you come minor issues.

Tell me yours and we'll test the minor claim. When you can't get online you should sue yourself for saying it's minor.

I see I'm now eligible for an upgrade from 150M to 200M, but that it involves getting a new modem from VM.

Given that I'm actually getting about 160M right now, is there any point upgrading? Has anyone had any issues with the new modem, that might mean I'm better off just keeping the one I have?

Right now I have a "super hub" VMDG480, but they're a bit vague about the new one. The web site says

Do I need new equipment?

Yes. To make the most of those new speeds, we're upgrading your hardworking Hub too. So stand by for the arrival of a shiny new Super Hub.
