Yeah I really wasn't a big fan. All I found was once you hit 'Vtec' the steering wheel went all shaky and siht lol.

Plus they're very chavy. Not very fast at all and only have about 3ftlbs torque haha.

Thanks!

The dash really did turn out very well, I was surprised by how easy the plastidip is to use!

Will post some pictures / updates at the weekend

+1 for plastidip, just make sure to clean well beforehand and make sure to spray all around the item and into the back of it so you avoid it peeling off at the edges after a while. Apart from that it will pretty much stick to anything!

Update time!

Fitted the new STI wheel, front seats and front door cards. The rear seats were damaged in transit so waiting on new ones arriving.

Next up is to fit my HRC 290lph Fuel Pump and Catless downpipe

Pictures:

Really happy with how the interior is looking, would like some chrome door handles.

As always C&C welcome

Yeah it looks nice, I'm not used to not actually have the STI so I thought I would do my best to make me think I still have one lol!

Will get all my bits and bobs fitted then see what's next. I imagine ill need new alloys at some stage so may save a little for them. Or else just save some money and buy an STI lol.

Oh on a more boring note, MOT is booked for Saturday morning.

Will be fitting the upgraded fuel pump with help from @bludgod on Saturday and then downpipe is being fitted on Wednesday 27th

Flippin failed MOT, only due to the indicator bulbs not lighting up Orange - I didn't change them when I De-tango'd the headlights, my own fault really..

I have ordered a set of Silvertec bulbs so will get them in and the retest book in a week or two..

Live and learn lol.

Update time.

So my car has started to smoke , believed to be down to the turbo seals.

I have gotten myself a TD04 turbo from a 2.5 WRX, these are supposed to be stronger than the normal TD04's. To go along with doing the turbo I have bought a cat'less up pipe and a load of gaskets and studs from ICP..

I sent my PSI3 away to Simon at Awuell electronics to be fixed / refurbished as it had stopped working, £75 and two weeks later and its now back in working better than ever .

Lastly, I purchased another STI 3spoke black steering wheel. There were a few marks on my first one that I wasn't completely happy about. Thanks to a member on here I now have one from a 40k mile car.

don't forget to set the preload on the actuator or swap the actuator from your TD04 onto this one, i'm pretty sure the hawks had a softer spring in them

Update

New turbo has been fitted along with the decat up-pipe and gaskets. Car is pulling really well now, so far with a bit of mapping magic we are at just over 280bhp.

I also got myself a Blitz Nurspec R exhaust. My favourite exhausts by far. I have had them on my last two Subarus!

This was the exhaust after fitting and before being polished:

After some polishing:

C&C welcome as always.

Lol they're a good job! Go for the more heavy duty one or even better get both. I think one is for cutting and one is for polishing, the cutting one should do a really good job for polishing anyway.

Well the Bugeye was a proper STI so I preferd it lol.. They have different gear ratios with the blob only being a 5speed you don't have to change gear what seemed like every 4 seconds in the bug. Though I'd still take the bug back any day! Loved that little car.

This ones still good fun though
