oohh turbo sounds interesting buddy.

got him to quote on engine removal,strip and report then rebuild with uprated rods/new bearings/cosworth head-gaskets,baffled sump and new windage tray/oil pick up pipe,full oe gasket kit,new oil pump,heads refreshed etc and pistons re-ringed (crank and pistons should be ok to be re-used) if not they will be replaced
sc42+ turbo
fuel pump and pressure reg
id1050 injectors
exedy twin plate clutch
3 port boost solenoid
4 bar map sensor
link ecu with multiple maps including meth map, various sensors to keep an eye on things

2.5 me thinks, was only asking about the 2.35/2.1 as i still have doubts about the 2.5 in the back of my mind regarding reliability

To be honest, I know a lot have said 450 is the limit on a 2.5 even with closed deck inserts, but if you look at the number of 2.5 engines now running very good power levels well in excess of this level using Alyns inserts this kind of puts my mind at rest. If I has a CDB conversion on mine and better studs I'd push mine way over 500 happily.

We have done numerous above 450 on the CBD Inserts, both bucky and dmitrijs cars run 500+ cempetatively on our CBD 2.5 set ups.

Theres numerous road cars over 450 too, 505 hatch we did, 490 in RB320 plus others.....

Closed decked fully forged set ups can do 500 all day long if treat right in terms of care and maintenance post build and the correct components.... (Not ebay junk hey @RAGGY DOO )

Do different tuning companies use different cdb inserts?
whats so different to scr or as performance ones ?

looms made up twisted and sleeved
car run up to temperature with new 10/60 oil
no leaks
On with the syvecs now

starts and idles perfects

Few jobs to do on it yet
the suspension needs be properally set up
and a few other bits and bobs after mapping
but mapping is the priority at the moment.
