Surprised they haven't blamed migraines on the death of Diana or immigrants...

I suffer from the fvckers but not as often nowadays, more often than not just a headache that will last for days on end and usually involves a painful eye. Used to get them quite bad, and they would make me throw up also.
Doctor prescribed me sumatriptan, on repeat but only something daft like 5mg packet of 6 and told to try not to take more than one a month

The wife has started to get them in the last year or two, nowhere near as often as I used to get them but she was prescribed imigran nasal spray and tablets, can't remember what mg they are but far more than the sumatriptan they prescribed me. I stopped bothering with the sumatriptan, but will take half an imigran and that usually sorts it. I usually run a basin of cold water and dunk my head in it, then turn the cold tap on and let it run on my forehead, find that helps a little, then go and lay down in a dark room.
What I did find was strong cheddar usually brought on a migraine, so I cut it out and occasionally ate Red Leicester instead, and stopped getting them a lot less.
I have returned to eating cheddar but it doesn't seem to give me a migraine nowadays, although can give me a bit of a headache.

Taking morphine often will cause you to get a headache, I was on it for a month solid in hospital.

Yeah the Imigran you will have got from the quack comes in 2 sizes 50mg and 100mg, i had what they called Imigran Radis, but as i said in previous Suamtriptan is exactly the same as Imigran its the same Tablet, but the quacks tend to drop repeatable people to base sumatriptan because it saves them shedloads, Like using Nurofen as opposed to asdas own... same drug. I had nasel sprays too but i prefer the tablet as i can bite it in half. I take about 6 to 12 a month hence why I'm on Botox now... but been doing that for 20 years....

I was on Naramig which is Naratriptan, same again a triptan just works slower lasts longer..

a warm bath with your feet in it helps as it draws the blood from your head downwards....just don't get ya head wet

Generic name: Sumatriptan
Product Brand Name: Imigran ®, Imitrex ®

Had your eyes tested ? Often a cause of severe headache, and has the advantage of picking up any eye related problems long before Drs can pick up anything.

Yeh I know sumatriptan is imigran, hence why I nobble the missus stash as it's the same just a higher dose. I do jump in the bath as well, which helps, although intrigued as to why you say don't get your head wet.
