Really pleased with these on my Wrx, still bedding in but already an improvement, running rc5 front and Kevlar rear pads 🙂

Must be more expensive to insert a J over a C as their discs are 20 odd quid cheaper.
I've used Mtec discs, I wasn't that impressed. First set turned up and one side of the disc was 2mm thinner that the other. When I called Mtec explaining that there was a problem with them I was told that there still within tolerance!

I then explained that the because there 2mm missing of one side the total thickness is 28mm, So effectively there worn out!

They then agreed to sent out another set that were correct, but even so the quality of the metal did seem poor, very dark and grainy compared to how most discs look.

I've made a few changes to the brakes, these discs, pads, performance friction fluid and a master cylinder stopper and as a whole the pedal feels a lot more responsive and braking distance feels like it is reduced (haven't measured anything). Just compared to the my old grooved and drilled discs and whatever pads where on there it feels a lot better.

From what I have read the j hooks will allow a stronger initial bite but will eat pads a little bit quicker and produce more dust compared to regual grooved discs. But that should allow you to have a later braking point.

Just want to add that I recently cracked another manufacturers disc whilst on a track day so the 12month warranty that is offered with these is reassuring.
