Update. Well it's two weeks since I had the operation. Just got back from having the catheter removed which is a massive relief LOL!!!!! Now I've got to wait until the third of November to see the consultant and find out my PSA levels, fingers crossed

Hi all, well I've just got home from hospital wher I received the best news I could have wished for. No cancer is present!!!! The doc did say that the cancer I had was very aggressive and that I am at high risk so need to be checked every three months.
Result!!!!

My old man was diagnosed with it about 20 months ago at the age of 69, but it is too aggressive to be able to cure, palliative care only. It has spread to his pelvis as well.
Had the finger up the jacksie a few years back myself, although thankfully I'd just been stabbed in the **** with morphine so didn't know too much about it.
Looks like I will have to get used to it though, my uncle has not long been diagnosed with prostate cancer as well so I am a likely candidate for it.

Sadly the older generation are very "stiff upper lip" and don't want to get checked out.

There is evidence to suggest a regular unload helps reduce chances of PC. Also I have heard that Japanese men have some of the lowest rates of PC due to their women offering rectal massages, helping remove toxins from the prostate

dads had hotwire on the prostate to help him pee, it comes to most of us in time does inflamed prostate, he's like a race horse now.
he did have the scare of a high reading but it turned out he was ok, he is 83 though.
Glad to see your clear, and if unloading is anything to go by i bet this thread has a lot of new monkey spankers now LOL, brb its time for my brunch time fiddle LOL

They say if you make it to 70, prostate cancer wont have time to kill you ..

Update, went and gave bloods last Friday, got my appointment on the 9th of Feb, once again, fingers crossed. I'll let you know how I get on.
