Before diving in though you really ought to take some time to read up about the cars and decide what it is you want. For example the twin-scroll blob versus single-scroll bug offer a completely different power delivery and thus driving experience.

Max at Hurst cars has a good rep on here, so you can buy with confidence from him.

I bought my type r from him and being honest it wasn't well described and it cost me a lot of money in the first few months to get it half right.

I believe he bought the car from a member on here and I know he's just a trader so he will be doing a bit if work and making a profit, not like its his car and he's selling it as he knows there is a problem with it,he's selling to make money so I'm asking what I think are the correct questions before diving in.

The S202 at Hurst was previously owned by "juggers" who is well known on here. If you trace back juggers' posts you will find some on the car. I'm sure juggers would be happy to talk to you on PM about the car if you wanted to.

I think you're always going to get that with any car, trade or private, even more so with something like a Classic Impreza, these are old cars now 10 to 18 yrs it's bloody old, so there will always be something that needs doing to get them perfect, and the only way you really find out what needs to be done is by living with it for a few months.

Just the way it is at least with max if there is anything major his rep is at stake so I'm sure he'll come to some arrangement.

Just waiting on hearing back from him,had a look about and seen juggers thread about buying the car with roughly the same miles so I'm warming more towards it.

Oh yeah, I forgot it was Juggers car, he said it has some great upgrades and is a really special car, but he never had time to use it, he really knows his Impreza's, so I'd take that as a good recommendation.

For what it's worth, I'm not much of a Bug fan, but I would definitely have an S202, as Impreza's go there's not many better ones to be putting your money into, ticks all your boxes and I doubt you'll lose a penny over a couple of years ownership if you keep the milage sensible.

Hawkeye is a widetrack model, and a Spec C is a lightweight model, so basically a lightweight version of a hawk STi.

I would think twice buying from that company selling the car though!! Do a search for Clives Performance(there last name) Now its Clives prestige cars this week until they change there name again and you have no come back on your warranty!!

Thanks for that, maybe dodged a bullet there.
I'm no subaru expert so I'm just learning as I go along and getting a heads up about shady traders is always welcomed!

Found 2 s202's at motor hub, which I think is the notorious keighley trade center.
The black 1 looks untidy, especially with the wire hanging out the rear tyres from when they were doing donuts in it ha ha.
eBay item number. 281762489119
